• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

Those with a 2024 Sea to Sky, did BRP just delete/discontinue the struts that hold the seats up for fueling?
The dealer was as helpful as usual when I asked the question. 😠

Mine had one but it is so weak that I had to replace it with a stronger one from show chrome not long after I purchased the bike. OEM just stopped holding the seat up while refueling. Same problem with the trunk lid strut. Very weak and it will fail soon if it hasn't already. I replaced that one with an upgrade as well. Its an easy replacement, show chrome sends instructions with the strut.

I just checked and I don't see a separate "strut" that holds up the driver's seat on my 2024 Sea2Sky, although I may be misunderstanding what you mean by "strut".

I have found that the driver's seat doesn't like to stay up, but also found a work around.

Before turning the key to unlatch the driver's seat, lift the front "horns" of the passenger seat. If you have the driver's backrest installed the passenger seat won't lift up much, but it will come up a little.

Then when you unlatch the driver's seat to add fuel the driver's seat will stay up by itself.

Just remember to push down on the front of the passenger seat when you're done fueling.

So, you had/have nothing holding your seat up when you fuel???
Just the seat brackets where it's attached to the Spyder.
Here's a picture I just took. I lifted the front of the passenger seat, then unlatched and lifted the driver's seat:

You can see the slightly lifted "horns" of the rear seat on each side of the picture, but no support strut anywhere in sight.
It's not a great picture, as I was holding my cell phone sideways up by the tank, pointing it backwards and took several pictures.
This was the best of the lot, as the others either didn't show both sides, or were out of focus.

Your 2024 S2S DOES have a strut @racoon, just like everybody else's - it's just not readily visible!

As shown on @troop's linked parts fiche display by part #350 it's there, but low, and it connects to the bottom of the hinge arm! If you look carefully under the hinge arm in the middle right of your pic above, you can juuust see the strut shaft and where it connects to the bottom of the hinge arm - it's basically hidden underneath everything down there, right underneath the bottom arc of the hinge arm; and as noted by many, they don't really work too well down there, but they ARE there. ;)

Okay, I went out and looked again, and yes there is a very tiny thing on the outside of the left side of the driver's seat arm.
Left side of the Spyder, and the far right in the picture I posted.

But it's very thin, much less than the thickness of a pencil.

And I pulled the seat up about 1/2 way and let go and it fell back. It apparently only works if the driver's seat is fully up.
I'm not even sure how I'd get to the lower bolt, without removing some of the body panels.

You can. Best and easiest solution is to get the SE seat lift. Less than a minute to install. Slingmods has free shipping through today. FYI:

Yup ... I have BOTH the Show Chrome strut and the SE seat lift installed. I installed the SE seat lift after I had a seat redone by RDL. The Show Chrome strut was working too hard (sagging) trying to hold up both the RDL seat and an Alaska Leather sheepskin seat cover. The Show Chrome strut works fine with the OEM seat, but the SE seat lift will work for RDL/Laam seats, and is much less of a PIA to install. :)
