• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello fello-spydeys, got my new slim digital headlight HID's from retro-solutions. wow this install isn't for the minors but if you take your time and a couple of beers and a puff of a good doobie-you should have no problems AT all. how about where I stashed those slim HID ballasts...awsome!100_4530 (800x600).jpg100_4527 (800x600).jpg100_4528 (800x600).jpg

Thanks for the pictures. Have not installed my HID yet, liking where you put the ballasts.
Can do on the brews during install, or better yet a good bourbon. Since I'm still employed in an industry that does mandatory testing, I'll limit that last experience to listening to the Doobie Bros. instead....

HID's DYI

placed the ballast on top of headlight case with double sided tape, make sure to alcahol-wipe down surfaces. push wiring toward the back. VERY tight fit but - wiggle n wiggle a couple of time with patience and they will go in place..relay was atached to the bottom frame -bellow headlight. just long enough to reach second headlight from there.

35w - 8k with relay and inline capacitors from retro-solutions.160.00 alittle steep but GREAT service and top of the line product. I have this brand in my jeep for 4yrs. and they're still firing!
decided NOT to go 55w here because of the close space and hotter surroundings. i have 55w on all my cars though.:trike:no problems to report after a nights run-so all is good !
