There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. NEEDED- Part of a Part

Phil

Mod Monster
I need only a part of the taillight module. Here's the image from the parts manual---

I'm looking for the LEFT & RIGHT wiring harness, including the bulb scokets, for the rear light modules. From what I can see, all RTs so far are the same, but my ryde is a 2010 RT.

I'm thinking someone might have parts laying around when a module was replaced. BRP parts seems to only sell this as an entire module and ALL I need is the two wiring harnesses. Hate to spend $220x2 just for the wire. I'm working on an idea.....!!

PM or email me at [email protected]. We can work out a deal, and I'll pay shipping.

Lamont- feel free to move this to WTB if needed.

I looked at this for my trailer. I think you will have to purchase the sockets and connectors separately, and build your own. The sockets may be available at an auto parts store, but the Deutsch(?) connectors will likely have to be chased online.

Thanks Scotty. You and I are thinking alike!

Make you a deal--- I don't even know where to start looking for the sockets, but I will try auto parts. I just figured they were strange like so many other fittings on the bike. If you do know where to start, I'll chase it, buy some, and make them available to the RT-622 folks out here. While we're at it, I'm not opposed to also making up some of the converter cables people want from the big round to a standard 4.

My HOPE also is that along with the rear sockets, I can redo the connectors to have more wires going between the bike and the trailer. I THINK to do that, I'll need some M/F set(s) to experiment with.

I didn't pursue it very far myself. There is a blank socket insert in the RT-622 taillight assembly. It has no wires, and no metal socket as I recall (?), but it would give you something to try to match up at the auto parts store. I don't really think it is an oddball.

Yup. I had the 'blank' out to look at it. I'm going to pull one and hit the parts stores this weekend. That may take care of one of my needs:)

No luck on the hunt for the lamp socket. I've come close, but no cigar. I've also spent hours on Google. The issue is getting sockets to match the the little locking ears.

So... again... if anyone has any rear lamp housings for the RT that they are not using, maybe from a repair, sitting around your shop, let me know. I'll pay for your junk ;).

Phil, can you modify another socket to fit, or file the housing to match an available socket. The plastic should not be hard to whittle into shape. Just a thought...

Good thought actually Scotty. I may do that, but now it's one of those quests that I don't want defeating me :). I see that the entire housing is made in Italy. A liiiiiiitle more looking the going down the whittling route!

I wrote to CEV in Italy today to try to get a lead on where I might get parts for the light housing! Never know unless you ask.
