• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:welcome: Lupe. Enjoy your new machine. One thing Lupe, Spyderlovers do not ask stupid questions.

:welcome: Ask away! There are many knowledgeable folks here with a passion to help fellow Spyder rYders. :congrats:

:welcome::ohyea::yes: The only stupid question is the one that is not asked. Sorry I was an instructor for a bit in the service.

Welcome and Be Safe

Lupe -

I'm in Muskogee so I am sure I can give you stupid answers. :roflblack:

Seriously if you need any help with getting to know your bike feel free to ask. Who'd you buy it from?

WOW !!!! I did not expect this welcome !!
Thanks guys!! i think i'm gonna like it here !
I just got my tag today and im giong for a ride, anything i should be aware of?
and do i let off the gas when shifting? some guy told me that i can shift with the throttle wide open but it just don't seem normal.
Again guys, thanks for the warm welcome:2thumbs:

Shifting is something you'll learn. I try to keep the RPMs steady or even allow them to drop a bit when shifting to higher gears. You do not want the engine to race to high RPMs while you pull the clutch in. That's hard on the clutch.

Have fun & be very safe.

With the SE5, you can shift without throttling back.
