• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

Hi and thank you for allowing me to join. I live in Scotland, had few other trikes, Boom, Rewaco, Ryker, and now I've just bought a Spyder RS 2012 Roadster. I don't know if I've done the right thing as I'm only 5'2 tall. After my first ride, my wrists and neck are killing me, and I ridden not even a mile. I'm finding cornering difficult because I'm trying to hold myself up from the bars, maybe I should just resell it?!

It sounds you have to get the bars and foot pegs in a different position for your body! And maybe relax your grip a little! And then it's new to you, but has there been any aftermarket stuff done to the bike, like sway bar, tires, shocks, front end alignment? All of those will make the ride and handling better so you can relax a little! I can still remember my first ride home with my 2012 RTL,, I thought what the hell did I buy here!! Get back to us with a little more info on how the bikes been set up, so we can maybe get your comfort level a little better! ;)

Hi. Right now, it feels like I'm head down, rear up, lol, like most of my weight is on my wrists. I've ordered bar risers to maybe help get me sitting up a bit better, as far as I can see there are no after market parts on my Spyder, it's completely untouched. I'm even sliding on the seat in corners! 😅

At some point you will want to be sure that your power steering (DPS) is working properly. The Spyder is a bear to turn if it is not.

Hi thks for the advice ,think the main problem is my sitting postion ,being small i feel as if im sitting on a race bike with bars further away,so im over reaching an wieght down on the bars ,so the slightest turn feels awkward an clumsy ,also ive only been out on it twice ,second time my hands started going numb ,im hoping bar risers will help
