My buddy with a larger machine shop came buy and needed some parts cut out on the plasma so I sent him back with one of the press brake parts that would have been difficult for me to make so that will speed up the process of making the new press brake. Managed to get more done on it yesterday. Got the machining don on the base plate and the shafts and bearings showed up so I'm making good progress on that.

Gotta love a good Press Brake. I purchased a 60 ton 6 foot Accupress years ago when I worked for Jet Aviation. Took some heat about initial cost and the full set of punches and dies, plus gooseneck punches and also Boeing non marring tooling for aluminum and titanium work.

Well this won't be of that caliber but much better than the crummy one I've been using. non marring as in urethane dies?

Made some progress today.


Concrete guys are putting up the forms for my new building in the morning so I'm sure I'll be out there most of the day. Hope to finish the press brake up this weekend.

If you have any tips on using them I'm all eyes.

That would be too heavy for the NHR Carrier. Remember it is attached to the swingarm not the frame.

Not any more than the trailer hitch. The trailer hitch does not cause any long term issues...

Used trailer hitch brackets to mount the fuel cell. Electric fuel pump to get it up to the main tank. Got a new Volkswagen fuel cap drill the hole and run the line right into it.

It holds 10 gallons

That's a pretty good test of the hitch, that would be 60 pounds of gasoline not counting the tank etc.
