• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

One last pricing question...I promise! :-)

I am trying to decide between two spyders, the one in question is a 08' red spyder with 8k on it not too sure of the hours on the engine. It has the back rest and side bags, all the service has been done at the dealership selling it. Off the top the dealer said 12.5 out the door(tax, title license...etc) So, I'm guessing I can prolly get down to 11...what do you all think? thanks again! Can I ask for them to throw in a helmet? (serious question :-)

There's an 'o8 out here (stock), with 3700 on the clock you could probably get for $9500 cash +/-….. (Portland Craigslist). Personally, you should be able to get a really nice '08 for $11 or less...

I would go for it and attempt to talk them down to the 11 as well. The back rest and bags are expensive add ons, but if the dealer purchased and installed them, then it did not cost near as much as it would if you bought them yourself.

I have always asked the dealer to throw a helmet in with the deal. Some will, and some won't, we are in a helmet optional state so that may also make a difference; however, you never know until you ask. Best helmet I got in the deal was an Arai when I bought my 1986 Suzuki GSX-R 750 new off the showroom floor.

Best of luck to you.

Check Ridley's website, said it was sold unless they have another one I didn't know about. Found one here in Spokane possibly for sale, said he'd take 12 for it, has approx 2200 miles, and no add ons. Will at least get my test ride that the dealer here won't let us have. Found another one in San Antonio for 11,999 with back rest, hindle exhaust, aftermarket windshield, 2500 miles. Probably better to get the one here even though it doesn't have all the goodies, cheaper than flying down and riding it home possibly in what who knows what weather I would find along the way.

Ah, but think of the adventure you might have if you choose this one instead. :D The bigger question would be is the difference in price worth it to you?

Engine hours are recorded in the control module, you should be able to call them up on the display.
