It's been just a little over a year now (November 15, 2009) that I put my $1,000.00 deposit to buy this unique looking trike. (or at least that is what I called it at the time). I had taken a test ride and the experience was to say the least different. However, I took the plunge because I wanted to get back to riding again.
I went online and started researching as I'm sure a lot of us did when we contemplated buying "this thing". I had seen a few on the road a couple of months earlier and was intrigued. In fact I told my wife that "THAT is the ticket".
I stumbled on this forum and started reading the threads. Needless to say with all the "steering issues" I became quite concerned that I had made a bad move in purchasing one. I even contemplated asking for my money back, but I knew that probably wouldn't happen. Instead I stuck it out. I am forever grateful that I did.
A lot has changed since a year ago. MOST of the issues that I was reading about have been corrected by BRP. I want to thank many of you who provided positive input that kept me going so to speak. I've also enjoyed the camaraderie that has existed on this forum. Additionally, I have established some friendships personally with people that I have met.
For anyone thinking about purchasing a spyder who may happen upon this site and take the time to read this, please let your impulse be your guide. You will absolutely have the time of your life on the spyder. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL.
