• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Powermadd Rider Hold-Tight

I had one of those! When my kids were little I used to strap that on so they could hold on to me better when we were out snowmobiling. I guess it could work on the spyder, but I don't think I really need it.

Think I'd rather have the passenger hold onto the Spyder's handles, rather than pull us both off the machine:yikes:.............IMO, products like that are better suited for 2 wheels......

:agree: I can just see my hubby losing his balance holding on to me and taking me right off with him!!! He outweighs me and I'd have no chance to hang on if he really got tossed off.

We don't have a backrest either. But Ron says he's fine back there. So whatever we do about this it's next year's project. I'm thinking top box with backrest instead of the BRP sport rack and backrest.

The Kewlmetal rear rack and backrest may be a bit cheaper than the BRP rack and backrest system.

We've decided to go with the Corbin heated seats and large ovalback backrest, but I'm juggling need, delivery time, and cost.

My wife is afraid to ride without a backrest, but this late in the season, I'm not sure how much use I'll get from the seats, once I get them.

I would rather use the money for a road trip and order the seats in March.

I have also seen a device the driver sits on that is like a seat belt for the passenger. I would think this would eleiminate the concern about the passenger pulling the driver off. However I am not sure I want something tugging at me all day "down there". hmmmmmmmmm;)
