Not rebutting Gwolf, just a personal observation.... Mr Cable would have benefited from a longer stay in the Southern Bayou country. He would have heard the wild birds calling; the gators grunting; the frogs croaking; and the Cajuns playing Zydeco and dancing. The Cyprus trees offer relief from the direct sun's heat, and there are fish, crustaceans, and gators to eat, regardless of what Wall Street's doing. But, I can sort of understand a foreigner's first impression.

Probably Mr. Audubon, but not Mr. Cable. Cable was not a foreigner. He was from a wealthy New Orleans family.
