There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And on those two-wheelers, you've got two dirty great gyroscopic stabilisers - one in front, and one out the back - keeping you upright and the bike basically in line too - they call them wheels, but we know what they really are... Stabilisers!!
That's what I tell those people bagging trikes as 'old people's rides', then go on to explain that it's why just about ANYBODY who can stand up straight can ride a two wheeled motorcycle; but it takes real skill and talent to ride a Trike that tries to tip over whenever you turn the steering; and especially if it's a reverse trike that tries to throw you off every time you make a turn; and extra-especially so if said Reverse Trike rider is riding relatively fast &/or in the twisty stuff!! That takes REAL skill and talent when you don't have those two dirty great gyroscopic things doing most of the 'stay upright and on the bike' stuff for you! I figure you don't hafta tell them about the Nanny, cos she only helps a little bit, and is often a bit more of a hindrance than not - besides, riding relatively fast &/or in the twisty stuff despite the Nanny takes EVEN MORE Real Skill and Talent, duz'n it!

You brought up the gyroscopic stabilisers, in turning, but not going into tight turns, at high speed and counter-steering through the turns. You go into turns on pavement, set up sort of like a flat tracker, leaned a bit farther over than what would track through the turns in a straight line. Then you counter-steer through the turn. Keep the front tire aimed to ride through the turn smoothly, with no jerking or quick corrections. The back tire will follow until you begin to come out of the curve and stand it back up straight. You are leaning to get the centrifugal force to take you through the turn and counter-steering with bars to keep the track through the curve even and smooth.

Friend discovered Tx actually has a '1 hand on bars' law a decade + ago, goofing off and texting his wife at the time. (I wasn’t present, was a discussion b4 another group ride!)
