There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's not only the bleedin' rabbits now, cos since suburbia has reached out and engulfed us, some of our 'new neighbours', who've taken to calling themselves 'New Bushies', as they feel that now they're living waaay out here in the bush instead of 20 minutes away in the big smoke, they've just gotta have chooks in their back yards, so I've also been waging a war with all the rats & mice attracted to all the chook feed the 'Newbie Bushies/Ex Townies' scatter around and the eggs their chooks lay in random hidden spots, sometimes even in MY yard (altho those do get confiscated, in lieu of part payment for the chooks invading my veggie patch & scratching out all the new seedlings!
)! And Nooo, these Newbie Bushies/Ex Townies can't possibly keep their chooks in cages or even just yards (so that they'll know where to feed them all in one spot, keeping most of the rats & mice the feed attracts in their own bloody yards! 
) and where all the bleedin' eggs get laid without having to go hunting and gathering every weekend (cos they've got no time during the week; besides, surely the eggs won't go off if we don't find them for a few weeks, will they??

) cos the chooks need to be left to range free to get all the proper nutrients needed - from my veggies! 
I've been feeding the rats & mice about $50 worth of bait a fortnight just to keep the numbers invading my backyard yard barely manageable, but then there's also all the possums invading too, cos a lot of the trees they used to live in have gone to make way for more bloody houses - and all these possums like fresh eggs and veggies too, but they just won't eat rat bait!!
So I've broken out the old catch cages, and that means I hafta 're-home' a couple of possums each morning as well! I do wish some of our new neighbours had chook yards like we all used to have, with 6 foot high wire netting all round, and more netting stretched across the top to keep the hawks & other unwelcome birds out. That way, I could use a different yard every day to release last night's possum catch into, then sit back and watch the show when the NBET's get home and find no chooks but instead, a yard full of possums! 
Hey, I just had a thought! Does anyone have a circuit diagram for an RF rolling code generator to search out the opening/closing signals/codes for the NBET's automatic garage roll-a-doors??

Your life seems to be like a chapter out of “The Day of the Triffids”.
My visitors are the occasional mountain lion, raccoon, bear, dear, skunk, feral kitty or bunny. But they leave no trace, well apart from the skunk.
Of course some of my rarer visitors are perhaps a little more lethal, but other than that I’ve no issue.

I just looked up about possums in your neck of the woods, South Australia. It says you have to have a permit to trap them and that you must re-home them within 50 meters of where you trapped them. Though I suppose the neighbors garage is probably within 50 meters. I won't tell if you won't about the permit issue. Other than this, you could collect a container full of them and ship them to New Zealand where they will be more than happy to dispose of them for you. I hear they love them, for their fur trade. Or perhaps I got that all mixed up?
Yeah, except I really don't like my chances of survival once any New Zealanders discover that I've even thought about sending yet MORE bleedin' possums their way!
