The General Altimax RT45 is the upgraded RT43. Is there really much difference between the 205/60R15 and 215/60R15? What is the major difference between the Vredestien Quadtrac and the General Altimax RT? I'm driving a 2024 RT-L and my weight is 210 lbs.
Apart from some small and relatively inconsequential dimension differences (ie. They're both a little bit narrower than the OEM tires, and there's
maybe as much as 10 mm difference in the width between those two and a couple of mms difference in the sidewall height as a result) there's
effectively NO difference between those 2 tire sizes, except maybe ready availability of tires in those sizes in your area.
Either is an ideal size to go on your Spyder, or maybe you could even go for a
205/65R15 - all
THREE of those sizes are usually
GREAT alternatives to the OEM size, and most manufactured tires in those nominal sidewall sizes come within a few mms of the OEM rolling diameter, generally being juuust a little bit taller/larger (by just
a few mms tho, remember that!), which will usually help bring your speedo/odo/trip meters a little bit closer to showing your Spyder travelling at the correct speed/distance travelled instead of reading over/optimistic by anything up to maybe 10%!
For most, all this ^ is
yet another plus for running A/mkt tires in any of those sizes, but the
REAL benefits (
if you run them at the appropriate (lower) pressure required under a lightweight Spyder (usually 16-18 psi) due to the A/mkt tire's far more robust construction than the OEM
cr... 'black round things that are the excuses for tires that BRP uses to keep the metal bits of the Spyder off the road'!

) come in the far better ride, handling, traction, longevity, cost effectiveness, and more that you'll get from just about any quality A/mkt tire run at the correct pressure for the load the Spyder imposes on them!
Here in Oz, it's pretty hard to get either Vredestein or General tires in any of those models/brands, so I can't help you with that, but if you look thru the hundreds of threads (maybe more??) about these tires that are already posted on the Forum, I don't think you'll find too many members/Spyder Owners who have had the
slightest concern about running them instead of OEM &/or any of the OEM clones/rebranded versions! So take your pick, fit them, set them to the appropriate pressure, and enjoy!
