• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear trunk adjustment

Is there a way to adjust the latch on the rear trunk. I have to push down pretty hard to get it to latch.

This is what I found on mine and how I fixed it. It seemed to be making uneven contact so opened both side compartment doors and the trunk. Loosened the two screws in each side compartment that helps secure the trunk (I'll call it plate) it's the same piece that the four screws help secure near the trunk latches. Hope I'm not confusing the heck out of you. Anyway, once all eight of them were loose I pushed it forward on one side and tightened the screws enough to hold it, then did the same to the other side. Once that was done I tightened the reaming four in the trunk. Wala. It closes with ease.

See pictures 6, 7 & 8 this link for the exact screws - they are marked with little white dots.

Most of them are pretty tight, and may take rapping with your hand to close them. In addition, there was a service bulletin for adjustment for some of them. Your dealer may be able to help.

I know what your talking about I just had to take them all off to install my Majic brake flasher from the same company. I'm not sure how what your showing will make the trunk close better, but I will give it a try. The trunk closes find it just doesn't seem to engage with the latch all the way. I'm thinking the screws that old the latches themselves need to be adjusted. What the heck I'll give em all a try.

I had the panel off your talking about and when putting it back together my trunk would not latch. after fiddling with it for a while I found the little tab in the center that was holding the panel up just enough to keep the lid from latching. Got the little tab ingaged and it shuts fine. the tab is at the top center of the panel.

Yes this meathod is the only way to adjust the trunk closing.

Loosen all four screws under the trunk rim on either side of the latch. Push the panels inward and tighten each screw as you go.
Works EVRY time!
