RTS side bag broke

Hello, was wondering if anyone has had their side storage compartment plastic break where the lower front hinge for the lid/door is attached to it? Looks like the whole plastic box will need to be replaced. I just opened it and the lid/door dropped down. Time to get a little warranty work done I guess. safe riding!:sour:

If your Spyder is still under warranty you should get it repaired by the dealer. The repair requires removing all the Tupperware from the mirror all the way back. The "bucket" has to come out and a new one goes in.

When you have it replaced be very careful to never place anything of weight on the lid when it is open.

Just wondering if the hinge repair kit from Doc Humphfries after a year of production has prevented the case from breaking as intended? Thanks and safe riding!:dontknow:

My hinges are working just fine... I was one of the"Guinea Pigs", that tested them! :2thumbs:

That reminds me. I need to install the set I got from him. My right box was replaced under warranty for the same break the OP has.

If they are installed correctly, they should be twice as strong if not stronger. We have had no one report a broken case that have installed them.
