There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Saddle Bag Locks not working - is there a trick to it? Will squirting oil in help? Where?

I've been having problems with my rear saddlebags on my 2025 F3T not locking. Sometimes they will lock on the first try and then other times it'll take me 5 or 10 minutes just to get them to lock. Is there a trick to it? I'm going to take it to the dealership Tuesday when they open. When I had my other Spyder, I couldn't get the key to work right on the back trunk part, all the service guy did was spray some kind oil into it and it worked perfectly after that. l have 3 in one oil in a squirt container, I don't have the spray, but l haven't tried using it yet. where would I put the oil? On the lock mechanism things inside?

I would not use oil in a lock mechanism.

Use powered graphite. You can buy a tube of it at any hardware or auto parts store.
It also comes in a spray can, which is probably what your service guy used.
I got it taken care of, I tried this tip from another member on here, worked like a charm, I bought the spray powdered graphite just in case l need it...

"I have always leaned my hip and thigh into the side of the saddlebag 'til I hear the click of positive engagement. Also check the adjustment of your latches on the cable that controls them. Just a small adjustment might make this all a non-issue."

I took my Spyder to the dealership where I bought it yesterday to have them check the saddlebags, it was kind of comical because they opened each one and couldn't get them to latch again, so the service guy took it to the back to see if he could adjust them. He brought my Spyder back out and said something about the adjustment being good and to wiggle the saddlebag to get it to lock. Of course, when he tried to shut them that way, they wouldn't lock! It took them three tries of the wiggling to lock it. I interrupted him and said let me show you how I get them to lock. l did the soft push with my hip and thigh until I heard the click, then locked it. l told them that l got the tip from the Spyderlovers board, the salesman who sold me my Spyder just laughed at the two service guys, and said, leave it to a woman to figure it out! Afterwards, I had the salesman show me a little bit more about the display on my Spyder, it was set on the trip A, and I wanted just the odometer to show on the corner. I've been kind of nervous about pressing all the different buttons and the touch sceen, but l'm getting braver little by little lol.

HI Spyderladyf3,

I do the same way as you do on your saddle bags to get them to lock.
