• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone recommend a free (or cheap) software that will help me envisage this in another color (yellow)?

Microsoft Paint. (if you are not using Mac computer - I am sure that you already have it).
You can use the tools of various sizes (on the left bar) to do it. It's a PITA but could be done....

I just don't know about Macs... never had one.

Yup --- Photoshop CS 5.5..... didn't have time to do them the right way though......thus why they don't look very good.
Really appreciate what you did. If that green and purple doesn't get someone excited, I will be surprised. THOSE really look nice.

Off to visit body shop(s) this morning.

Now that's neat. I even like the Yellow, Green, and Purple flavors. The yellow might be a little much all over for me--how about experimenting with some black trim parts?

Teal Blue or Champaign Gold as other possible colors?

IMO: The above would have been some nice colors for BRP to have considered in 2012.
