• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sport rack & backrest

I got my new red sport rack & backrest today. Delivered to my door for less than $500.00. I've been going to get one for a while now, been putting it off hoping to get a good deal. Now I just need to get the thing on the Spyder. I hope it's not to difficult of an operation:dontknow:. Maybe if I buy Scotty a burger and a beer he'll help me out. Scotty?

Sounds cool, good luck with the installation. The instructions should have come with it, but it they did not, let me know and I can email you PDFs for both.

hope that helps.
Good luck... and are you going to take pictures?

Just so you know, once you get the sport rack installed, you can no longer get to the inside tail light screws to change the bulbs. You can do it without removing that screw, but it is a PITA. If you have small hands or know a good eight year old mechanic, you can squeeze your hand through the side to get the bulb out, but it is not easy. Many have switched to LEDs to avoid the bulb change hassle. There is a post with instructions on how to cut away a piece of the lens bottom to allow access. Just a heads up before you install it so you can consider your options.

I never put one on. There are some good how-tos on here, as I recall. Toughest part is properly routing the cable, from what I have read. Hope your garage is warmer (and less crowded) than mine. :D

We just finished putting one on my wife's Spyder, along with the ISCI Arm Rests. The installation of the Sport Rack is a little time consuming, but not too bad overall. My wife has little fingers, so routing the cable and connecting the nut for the release lever went okay. If you have large fingers you may need to find an assistant for that part of the operation. The information about the tail lights is correct as well, the mounting base slides right over the screws for those. Best piece of advice, first step is to remove the front of the gas arm on your seat, last step is to put it back on. You will find out why this is soon enough. :)
