• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Alignment-Refused

Anybody encounter a Dealer that has refused to perform an alignment due to Aftermarket Tires mounted......outside of warranty of course?
OEM sized tires......just ask’n if this situation has been encountered.

Sounds like a dealer that has so much business that he can be selective and cherry pick the jobs he wants.

Tire size/aftermarket should not be an issue. In all the years we have been on the site, I know of NO dealer being sued for dealing in or around aftermarket tires. It is used an a weak excuse IMO. The real reason is lazy, lazy, lazy.

Find another dealer that wants your business.

Aftermarket tires of the same or similar dimension would have no affect on alignment. This dealer simply found a unique way to say no. It had nothing to do with the tires.

I've heard of some really ridiculous statements coming out of service manager's mouths, that one just about tops the list.

Did you ask him to do an alignment, or a laser alignment? If you asked him to do a laser alignment he may not have had any idea what you were referring to so he conjured up an excuse to cover up his ignorance. From what has been discussed here not very many dealers can or will do a laser alignment. It's been OK'd by BRP, but not mandated by them.

When people show up with after market wheels my lasers don’t fit, I just install a set of stockers, align it, and swap back. The dealer has no clue. Find another!
