• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Housekeeping:

Please make sure that you read and follow the directions in the READ FIRST! Sticky (& all the posts in that thread) that's found at the top of this forum and linked below:

paying particular heed to:
  • the need for regular posts from you, at least monthly adding to the thread (& not just edits of the first post!) in order to keep the Ad alive;
  • if you add any pics (and you really should, if you want to sell!), the need to insert no more than 6 images per post as thumbnails iaw the 'Please upload, attach, and insert any pics/images as Thumbnails' Sticky if you want everybody to be able to view them/your Ad, leaving at least a space or three between each image (having at least one pic in your opening post of the Ad/thread will mean that your Ad will have the first pic shown in your Ad's 1st post appear on the index page - which helps get viewers to look at what you've got/on offer; and posting more pics in new posts added to the Ad/thread regularly over the coming weeks will help keep the Ad up at/near the top of the index and satisfy the first point above ;));
  • do not discuss prices, payment, payment methods, or negotiate at all on the public pages, use the Forum's DM facility to exchange contact details &/or conduct any/all negotiations; and
  • the need to properly finalise the Ad by marking it Sold once you've finished with it, even if you haven't actually 'sold' anything, don't want to sell any more, or just don't need the Ad any longer! ;)
Good Luck with your sale. (y)

Ps: You might want to put your location in your Ad above, so that prospective buyers can work out what they might need to cover in the way of freight costs. :unsure:

I have a highly modified SR1. For sure, it is considerably lighter than that OEM boat anchor. However, it's also much louder, which I didn't care for. I took my SR1 apart and replaced the straight through baffle (if you want to call it that) with a full length can-opener style baffle. It reduced the dB's by half and emits that slight overlap sound when you shift. I tightly wrapped the full length baffle with glass fiber to also keep the volume of the sound lower. There seems to have been no change in performance or MPGs. The only change was in the tone of the exhaust.
