• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stock Shock Rebuild

Anyone know if the stock Front shocks are rebuild-able?

Depending on the type of shocks that are on the front.

I have had many Goldwings, I have used heavier shock oils to provide more load dampening.

Going from a say a 10w to a 15w makes a big difference.

Seems like the stock shocks have way to light of shock oil. A heavier shock oil may do the trick.

Rebuilding shocks are a lot less expensive than buying new shocks.

I think rebuilding my Goldwing shocks cost me about, well less than $50.00 per shock.

Anyone check into whether our shocks are rebuild-able or not.

At risk of asking a dumb question...

How do you know when your shocks are not performing up to snuff and need changing, upgrading or rebuilding?

I have never touched my suspension in 42k miles and I am happy with it. Should I be? Am I missing something?

Sorry. I thought we were talking about the RS or whatever it is called. I have had a PE for a little over two years. The question still stands though.
