I haven't done much typing because my finger has been bothering me but I thought I would give a short review of the ESI shorty shield I had put on in Chicago.
First off I really like how it looks on the RT. I've never been a BIG windshield fan but if you're going to have one you might as well have one that works good for you. The stock shield was a little too tall for me because I like looking over the shield and not through it. When I dropped the stock one all the way down I really had to sit up straight to look over it. Now I can see right over the top no problem.
The other thing I noticed is you still get good wind protection but in the heat like we had up there is was nice to get a little more flow around my head to help cool me down. If I raise it all the way up now it's pretty much like the stock one was all the way down.
I put about 650 miles on it and I loved it. It kept the wind off my chest but I still felt like I was riding a motorcycle going down the road. There was no wind buffeting at all at any speeds. To me this was like the Corbin seat, even though the stock was not that bad, this was much better. :doorag:
