• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got about a half a days work in on the RT today. I installed the Kewlmetal run, turn, brake light today and cleaned up some more wiring and mounted my ram mount in the middle of the bars. I need to get some shorter screws but I just about have the front where I like it now. I can use my cup holder on long trips or mount my iphone in the same location for checking radar on the road.

Kewlmetal & ESI HMT Brake Light

Really like the looks of that light, but I've already installed the ESI HMT brake light, could a person install both without overloading the electrical system?

Nice work. EXACTLY my thinking on the iPhone. I'll try to get some cloeups of the quick change mount I used and put them with my other mods.

From the angle of the pic, it looks like your RAM cup mount is plugged in! Heated ?!:)
I admire you guys that do the long haul trips!

On a related subject.... has anyone had any success with an iPhone RAM mount that will work with the hard cover installed over the phone? I have a 3G with a hard cover and thought that maybe the RAM mount meant for the 2G iPhone might work since it was a little thicker to begin with. Thoughts?? :chat:

Very nice! I never thought about using the iPhone while on the run for radar although I'll check it at gas stops. :2thumbs:
I do the same thing and I'm not sure how it's going to work as far using it going down the road but I'm going to give it a try. I mounted the ram mount to the stock BRP GPS mount so it looks really nice on there. :doorag:

Phil would be the guy to ask about that.

The cup holder is not heated, what you're seeing is the cord I use to connect my earbuds.

I think Deb (dtang) has a Aquabox for her phone.

I use a mount for my I-Phone that is a universal. Purchased it at Wally World. Had to modify the back of it so I could mount the holder on my bars.
I have a "Case Mate" cover and holster on my I-Phone

I have my EVO mounted on my bars that I use for listening to Pandora. At the same time I have Weatherbug map up on the screen so I can track any activity in the area I am riding in. Works great. :2thumbs:

Got my iphone mount on now.

Not a great pic but I like the location.

I pretty well doubt you'll overload it. LEDs are REALLY low drain. There IS a limit to what the bike can handle (someone on the forum did some math on that point) but with LEDs, that's a lot of physical fixtures. NOT the case with halogen or even HID lights.
