• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TOMTOM GPS

I know this has most likely been posted before and I have missed it. Just got a TOMTOM Rider. Mounting kit is for standard MC bars. Anyone know of a mounting system for this or ideas for mounting it ( Can Am's only fits The Garmand)?

Tom Tom Rider has deleted tyre pro

The reason I bought the TomTom Rider over the Garmin GPS was the included tyre pro. I just found out that , even though the unit I bought advertised on the box "tyre pro", it is no longer available, and no suitable substitute has replaced it!! Truth in advertising??? My advice is go with the old standard, Garmin!!

Tom Tom how to mount

Get industrial strength velco. I put mine on right side under the big dash lip, helps visability does cover the temp gauge but works great. I have a few pieces on the bike and back of gps the one one the front of each side of gps and back to bike to keep pressure tight.

RAM most likely makes a cradle/holster/ball mount of sort to hold it. Not cheap, but well worth the cost I think.

I used this mount

I know this is an older post but let me tell everybody what I bought for my 2015 RTS & TomTom rider. There is a Spyderlovers sponsor JT that makes a great bracket to mount a GPS, phone, or even UBS outlets that all mount to the bracket and its a very easy install. Check him out.

If you use this buy the longer ram mounts, it gives you more adjusting options

Hey,does anyone know rather it would be Ok to run my wiring for my GPS off of the Battery Tender cord that is already there I have found that type cord in a longer length,so I would just need to solder the other end to a 12V plug that I plan on place on the right side within that open area of the Speaker cover,is the any reason this would NOT WORK? and I plan on unplugging at the plug when my GPS is not in use,do I also need to put a inline fuse between the Plug and the 12V auxiliary plug its self?
Trying to save a little $$$$$ guys, the Dealer wanted $88 plus parts and of course they mark there parts up.

Thanks
Ron
