• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too Good to Be True???

Way to good to be true if it has not been stolen, crashed & fixed, or just a scam to collect your money or bank account information and send you a picture of what you bought. I would wait to verify from the website like you asked.

Dollars to donuts it's a scam.

I'll bet the machine has to be shipped to you and and it's a you'll need to wire them the money thing.

There has been alot of that going on. :lecturef_smilie:

I'll bet no matter what, you can't bring cash and pick up the Spyder in person.

If you can, jump on it because it's a killer steal.

For that price I'd throw the exhaust away.

Could be they meant $14,200.00. But you'd think their phone would be ringing off the hook and they would have fixed it.

I'd take a closer look and see. But I'd be very careful. Something is very wrong here.

Thanks for all the replies...

My first thought was typo, but then i figured after so many calls they would wise up and fix it!

I'm going to call after work and see what happens!

Thanks all!

P.S. - that exhaust would DEFINITELY be the first thing to go!:yikes:

one more time--good detective work Lamonster, that shows there is a scam going on. Caveat Emptor! When its too good to be true, it usually is a scam.

Maybe he owns one of these too... :roflblack:

Notice the one pic is missing the rear fender?

While I could see 2008 Spyders going for well under $10,000 ---- that deal certainly is too good to be true.....

Caveat emptor!

I bought the spyder for $4,500 shipping included. What a deal!! Just kidding. I went along with the scam until I got the details and all the good stuff. You have to admit, they are very creative. I just hope no one falls for this scam. I guess I had a little too much time on my hands tonight. Tomorrow is a different story, ride, ride ,ride. Great weather coming to New England.:roflblack:
