• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I know that they are a sponsor and that is how I found them and placed an order. Quick shipping too, BUT they apparently haven't figure out what emails are or that they are expected to answer them. I emailed a number of days ago, with a quick question and a suggestion, 5 days nothing. AND what is with the 240 characters limit??? I'm an old fart, not easy to know the kids shorthand:)
 
Do they have a phone number ?

I know several small companies I have dealt with (don't know if they qualify as small) have a limited staff and are not the best at E mail response time. Were you happy with the product ?
 
I haven't installed the products yet, my question was about installation. If you want to be successful in business, you figure it out. Responding to customers after the sale is pretty important. Being "small", "understaffed" "not Internet savvy" are not an excuse. The end result is that smart customers go somewhere else next purchase.

It cost them less money to answer an email that take a 800# call. I guess, sometimes you are successful in spite of yourself. Recently, I sold my Internet company, that had over 20K pages, maybe I just want to help people get the most from their web site.:)
 
We seem to have lost all patience in our society.

For the majority of my life, purchases made from anything but a brick and mortar store usually had a notice: "allow six to eight weeks for delivery" . . . and we survived the wait.

Five days does not, an eternity make. Small business owners can get sick, just like the rest of us . . . or go visit family over Thanksgiving . . . or have an ailing spouse or family member . . . just sayin' . . .
 
GOOD SERVICE

I have purchased 2 Ron bars and helm links and some arm rest's from them and like you said fast shipping easy to navigate site.
I can't say that I have tried to contact them maybe they are visiting family or something. Hope you get ahold of them soon and get whatever issue resolved I would try calling them on the good old phone.
 
My only experience

My only experience with Value Accessories was the purchase of some hardware to mount my GPS or smartphone between the handlebars. I was surprised by how quickly I received the stuff. I didn't need any customer service because the instructions that came with the kit were quite adequate.

I get the feeling that many of the companies that sponsor this group of forums are tiny and don't have the resources to provide good customer service. I am just happy that there are accessory companies that support the tiny Can Am Spyder market (as compared to Honda or Harley Davidson).
 
What product are you trying to install there are a lot of pretty savvy folks on Spyder Lovers that might be able to help.
Value accessories had some installation videos on their site for some of the products they sell.
 
I emailed them a few times and they responded back the same day.
They also responded to PM's here on SL.

Maybe they are busy due to black Friday sales?

I have ordered a few times from them and always got fast email answers.
You have to remember this is the holiday season and expect they are busy
with family. Hell they even gave me tickets to the IX center last year.
They are top notch in my book.
