• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Man did we have the storm yesterday or what. It's still going on here right now. It woke me up about 4:30 am and has quit yet. Hope everyone made it home safe.

Here's a little video take of my ride home and the Owners Event in Maggie Valley. :doorag:

Good video, Lamont. I hope all made it home safely. Other pics show all had a good time. Wish we had some of that rain...none in five months....

:spyder2:

Wow. I made a hello and joke to MV riders about it being dry this time unlike Spyderfest. Bad joke apparently.

Hope everyone made it home safe.

Lamont, that's not you home. I've been there and there are about 300 Spyders and 350 people milling about... Didn't see them in your video. You must be lost!

Lamont, are you sure you weren't in St. Louis around noon Friday.......it was that dark and the storms were really bad.:gaah: Then again Saturday morning between 2 AM and 4 Am they came again. I'm getting tired of the rain.

10-4 on the rain. We stayed until today because we wanted to ride the dragon on Sunday. That didn't happen . The thunder woke me up about 0530 Sunday morning. It just resounded through the valley. We hoped it would be a short lived storm, NOT! It rained most of the day and we were under a tornado and flash flood watch until 8:00 pm. It finally cleared up around 6:00 and the sun came out. But, too late to ride anywhere. This morning, the same routine, thunder and rain. We left around 9:00 and the sky was starting to clear. :agree: with Lamont though, what a great time we had.

Left Sunday morning from Maggie Valley in the rain :spyder:did great rain stopped about halfway to Franklin NC Clear all the way to Fountain Inn SC. temp 90+ Wish I was back In Maggie Valley

I agree 3 is the only way to go. My Spyder performed perfectly today in the flooding in Indy and yesterday in the rain in the mountains. I even managed to avoid getting hit with the wall of water that was being thrown from cars all around me. I did jump out of my seat a few times when it thundered.

Weather and some reliability concerns

My wife and I hit the rain on the far side of Ashville heading for Jonesbourgh tenn. Quite a downpour, made it home fine. Spyder handled great. We have had the Spyder only a couple of weeks, very happy so far. We are planning a cross country trip in September and hoping that any reliability issues pop up before then. With your experience, are there any potential problems I need to be aware of before heading out cross country on the Spyder? Your insight is greatly appreciated. 2010 RT S (out of the crate 3 weeks ago). Thanks.
