• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Friday was a bit shorter ride, only about 150 miles for my weekly hamburger at the Rock Store and reading overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Along the way I stopped in at the Paramount Movie Ranch to see how the rebuilding is going. It was destroyed in the 2018 fire and was supposed to be opened in 2024. They didn't make that time line. Looks like they have a good ways to go, and I'm not seeing what was promised, but we'll see.

New tires ordered for the summer trip, and I bought myself a new pair of riding boots/shoes - Alpinestars Faster 4 Drystar Shoes. Very comfortable.

The wife and I rode 126 miles yesterday, the 4th; and 137 miles this morning over to Fort Gaines, George Town, and back home. She always packs out an ice chest with water and drinks for shady stop spots. Home by 11:00 both days, because the heat and humidity is brutal right now in South Ga.
Well, I did get out on July 4th. Left home about 6:45 and met up with some local riders. They were all on sport bikes and geared up. So I decided to break away and do my own thing. Did 110 miles on some back roads to the South and West of me. Stopped for a picture opportunity at a mural and at a lake. While I was positioning the Spyder on the sidewalk (no one was there), I didn't even notice the 5' snake with it's head raised. It was as if though it was trying to see what I was doing and admiring the bike. Lol! All in all, it was a great day, and I was pulling back into my garage at 9:00 am on the dot. I like my RT for long rides (300 miles plus), and when riding 2 up with the wife, but nothing beats the thrill I can get riding this F3L at a rapid pace.

The Dawn Patrol.(y)

Dang nice looking F3L.

The Dawn Patrol.(y)
Yes sir! I used to like to ride out after around 6 pm in the evening and get home by 8 pm. That way I would avoid the traffic and heat. But this year, the heat index is into the mid to low 90's until it is dark outside. With my eyesight, night riding is a no go for me. So yes, early morning rides on Saturdays and the holidays will be the norm. I actually rode the F3L to the gym this morning at 7 after the wife decided not to go.
