What year or years of RT Limited Editions had the most problems or recalls? Any issues with 2015's?

What year or years of RT Limited Edition Spyders had the most problems or recalls? I'm interested in 2 x 2015 Limited Editions, and I would like to know of any issues regarding them or newer RT Spyders.
Thank you.

I have a 2015 RTL, had it since 2017. I call it bulletproof, it has not left me stranded anywhere, and it's had no codes!! It's been a great Spyder. I've just had the front pulley recall done. I bought it used with 255 mileson it, now it's at 55,000 miles.

I believe since you are looking at the second model year of the 1330 ACE engine you will find very little difference between MY 2014 and 2015. What I would be most concerned about is the mileage on the vehicles and the age of the tires. If either or both of them have Kenda tires, they are junk and should be replaced with automobile tires for your own safety. If the roadsters have sat for any length of time, what was the fuel tank preparation before they were laid up.

My 2016 RTL is still going strong at 65,000. Only had the front sprocket recall and a Cam position Sensor. Easy owner fix on the CPS.

The 2015 RT models were a very good year. I bought a 2014 to introduce me to the spyder world. They only issue I had was the DESS error. That was not an issue that I know of with the 2015, so you should be good.

Just bought a '16 a few months ago... with only 900 miles on it. The first thing I did was change the original tires... date stamp 1915!!!
So far, it's been perfect.

I have been very happy with my 2016 Spyder RTL. My only problem was the coolant overflow tank developed a crack at the seam. Chinese parts issue. Fixed this problem and I am a happy Spyder Ryder.

Still enjoying my Ryde Times.

Wow, those must have been historic. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, histe... ☺️

But for those not already in the know, a date stamp of '1915' on the tires fitted to a Spyder bought in 2016 doesn't mean that it's got 101 year old tires on it, it means that they were manufactured in the19th week of 2015! Or in other words, the tires on that Spyder were made somewhere between May the 4th and May the 10th in 2015. 😉

Just Sayin' :sneaky:

I should have known that. How Embarrassing 😖

I wouldn't worry about it, cos if you hadn't commented, there woulda been a whole lotta people out there who didn't know who were left wondering... 😉

I only posted up what I did cos one of those who didn't know about tire date codes asked me by DM why your post was so funny; and another who might've had some idea about the date codes thought that you'd spelt 'hysteric' incorrectly...
