After almost 53 years of keeping the rubber side down(road riding years) - the run is over. The FJR met a Prius in a roundabout while passing through Cottonwood, Az.. One week ago yesterday. Have to say, had it been a real car. I may have been hurt.:roflblack: The FJR is in for repairs for almost everything on the left side.

Ugly it is!

ATGAT- I was in full leathers, plus a pair of Sidi 'On Road' boots, and only sustained friction cuts and bruises. My helmet was the last thing to contact the pavement, and as luck would have it, somehow it only sustained face shield damage.

At my age one tends to wonder how they would fair if they were to go down. I came out OK this time, and hope it is the last.

I'm also glad you had only minor injuries. I sure hope you left a Spyder-shaped dent in that "car."

Now you get to buy a new helmet. I don't want to have an accident, but I wish I had an excuse to get one of those new BRP carbon-fiber ones.

Glad to hear you made it through to tell us about it. The FJR can be repaired.

Another good reason for ATGATT. You never know when bad things are going to happen. Being ready, is the way to go.

Now you get to buy a new helmet. I don't want to have an accident, but I wish I had an excuse to get one of those new BRP carbon-fiber ones.

As you know, I'm a straight shooter and call'm like I see'm. That said, I was informed by the other party's insurer that Arizona has a way of proportioning fault. With that knowledge, I feel it would not be wise, at this time, to openly discuss things. Once I know how that sorts out, I'd be happy to share. It is what it is, and will be what it will be. In my mind.

When ever it gets hot I keep resisting the temptation to ride naked and people look at me like I am weird. Your story helps me remember why I spent the money for the gear. Dress for the slide not the ride.

The milage yet to be covered wasn't a big deal, until we stopped. The greif I had to endure from my riding partner was unbearable. Geesh, can you say....lighten up already:roflblack:
