• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

should I put in synthetic blend or full synthetic oil for my 600 service ? or should I wait to have more the 3000 miles on it to put the full synthetic ?:opps::opps:

On my 2010 RT, the owner's manual says:

Recommended Engine Oil

The same oil is used for the engine, gearbox, clutch, and the HCM in the SE5 model.
Use the XPS SYNTHETIC BLEND OIL (SUMMER GRADE) (P/N 293 600 121) or
a 5W 40 semi-synthetic (minimum) or synthetic motorcycle oil meeting the
requirements for API service SL, SJ, SH or SG classification. Always check the API
service label on the oil container.

I have used the full synthetic BRP oil since the first oil change.

I don't have a problem with either one. Been using Amsoil in my 2012 since the 600 service. Just switched the wife's 2010 to Amsoil so I'm not buying two different products. Been running BRP summer blend in hers since new.

What ever you feel comfortable with.

Choices choices..!!

there are many good oils out there. The one thing is stick with the recommended spec's in your manual. These engines are not the same as cars. If your doing your own the choice is yours. You can search the hundreds of oil related threads. My choice is to stick with the XPS blend it came with. If you never stray to far from the big cities you can find all the oils but I find myself in places where your choices are very limited so the blend gives me options...:dontknow:

Good question Bob. I'll ask my dealer tech next week. I do suspect it has more to do with product application. ie; roadster, quad, PWC.

Full synthetic all the way! Use a quality "motorcycle" oil, BRP, Amsoil, Motul etc.. Tom :trike:

Royal Purple 10w40 Max Cycle in mine since 1500 miles. Now at 15k with no problems or concerns. Changed it at 7500 and it was still purple. Changing again this weekend.
