Hi
@Flying V, welcome to posting on the Forum!
However, you really need to check the date of the first post in any thread before replying/asking a question,
and the dates of the last few posts, or in this instance, the only reply - a little bit of thread archeology doesn't generally hurt, if it's going to add to the knowledge/experience base here, but asking a question in a thread that's older than 10 years old, and of posters who haven't been on the Forum in a while, or in the originating posters case, ages, probably isn't going to get a helpful response from them.
You might want to try searching (see the
Search button up toward the top right of the page, outboard of your username & the notification buttons) on the word '
Whirring' - click on
Search; then enter that word into the search field; at least the first time you try, tick the box marked '
Search titles only'; then skip over the box marked 'By: Member' and click on the
Search button below that; and you'll get at least a few threads about Whirring &/or Whirring noises in the results. If reading thru those threads doesn't answer your question, you can always try backing up and un-checking the '
Search titles only' box before resubmitting the search, but you will get at least a few pages of results, listing every thread with the key-word in it!
And remember, before posting a reply/asking a question in a thread, do check those dates and ask yourself if that particular thread is the best place for your post, or at the very least, be aware that asking anything of the posters in a thread that's over 10 years old juuust might achieve nothing but an exercise in frustration!
