• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windscreen rattle - is this an easy fix?

On my RT I get some rattle from the windscreen when hitting some bumps in the road.
I have changed the arm coming from the windscreen motor to a solid one, but I think the rattle comes from the two other swingarms for the windscreen, as there is some play when I wiggle the screen by hand.

Do I need some new rubber/plastic bits to silence them?

The rattle is coming from these arms, I think.

I had the same issue on my factory F3T lowboy. When I installed a new GP Cycleworks windshield, it went away. I believe the rubber washers were the culprit. The old washers basically fell apart when removing them.

Thank you all that gave tips.
I will take the windshield off and check the rubber bushings and see if I can replace them.
If I fix it I will come back with a new reply here. 👍

I changed the arm on my 2012 and found that the screws on those side arms would loosen up and back out after time and I would tighten them every now and then. I had such a time getting them out because of the size of the screws and that darn yellow goop they use that I didn't replace them with anything on them, maybe I should have but I didn't want to deal with thread locker if I had to work on it again.
