• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

would you let your kid do this

Now that I am older and wiser, the answer is a very big NO. Back in the early 70's, I did let my 3 year old ride with me. he sat on the gas tank like here, and put his hands in the center of the bars. He was never given control of the Honda 305 Dream. We lived in the country and our rides did not go very fast. I would not do that now though.

I was hoping that was a trike, but the leaning around the corner answed that question. Still wouldnt allow that even if was a trike.

Gotta say..!!

The many of us who did will now say no way and critisize our kids for doing it..but hey they will remember it forever....!! :lecturef_smilie: :shemademe_smilie:

:agree: a BIG no. I could not imagine a 6 yrs old suffer from a road burn on his arms and legs. It take an accident to learn a lesson but not a cost from a child.

Not only is it a questionable decision to let your 6 year old pilot your bike...but the kid isn't even geared up in case he lays it down. Not saying I don't ryde without my armor sometimes due to Summer heat...but my son doesn't. He is geared up despite the temps. If he's too hot to wear the gear, we simply take the SUV. I will not judge the father for his questionable decision making, but my son is too important to me to do the same. :yikes:

Let's face it; completely illegal! :gaah:
I started Sonny-Boy on a Z-50 when he was 5... in the yard!
He's still waiting to get his motorcycle endorsement; 22 years' later... he's scared of his Mom!

The dad was interviewed on a news show and he said that the kid only had control of the throttle. He said he was steering the bike by shifting his weight. He didn't feel it was a dangerous act. The kid is six years old.

I rode kids on the gas tank, more then once a long time ago. Do not think It is a good idea today. His gear or lack of scares the heck out of me. that helmet size appear way to big for 6 year old head. Bare arms ???
Some bikes, at least years ago had a "steering damper" that you tighten down so it was almost impossible to turn the hand bars, and use weight shift to turn, did not alway work well.

So he admits he's not only reckless, he's also ignorant.

Hey, as kids we all did stupid things with our parents, and obviously, we all lived. But there's a right way to do stupid, and a wrong way.
