Your Weather News @ December Edition 2025

Winter season has officially arrived. The TV weather news people said that Sunday around 10:35am was the Season change. So Today is the First Full Day of Winter in Indiana.

Well, this up and down temperature thing is starting to make everyone aware of the Flu season. The Hospital has said to stay put and call your Doctor. The ER has been very busy with all the 'Sick'.

Currently we have a cloudy sky at 28°F. No snow on the ground here. Also, no snow here for Christmas. It's going to be in the high 50s or low 60s.

Today's numbers are looking good.
High of 48°F with clouds.
Low of 42°F, and maybe we'll get some rain tonight.

Have a Safe Day. Enjoy your Holiday Season.
Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends. (y)

Yup, the days are already getting longer!!!!!!!! We are already heading out of winter in my mind!

The bike's ready for hopefully a New Year's ride...

Polar vortex .... Jan thru March expected to be warmer than normal.. Yehaw!!

We've been experiencing record high temperatures here in the desert. Today is no exception. The high will be 82 degrees. Humidity is 25% and there is a 2 MPH breeze. There are high wispy cirrus clouds filtering the afternoon sun. The temperatures are expected to drop on Wednesday with a good chance of rain for the Christmas holiday. Did my grocery shopping for Christmas this morning, along with a bazillion other people. All set to hunker down and enjoy a rainy holiday. Daytime temperatures will hover around 70 degrees. Zero chance of a white Christmas but I expect there will be some visible snow in the mountains surrounding the valley. Stay safe..... Jim

P.S. Little Blue....... Y'all will hear a lot of rooting for the Colts tonight all the way from the desert.....:D

Been 70° F to mid-80s here in the day time. Very pleasant weather with a slight breeze. Sun shine most of the day. Grass has turned back to green. If it doesn't cool off some, I will have to mow the yard again in January. Loquat trees all bloomed out and have some loquats already turning ripe on them. Mustard greens growing and got plenty Romain Lettuce still growing.

Well Colts started off great. But the second half was not very good. Thanks for your help.

Currently cloudy sky at 49°F. Got a little rain shower this morning. No snow here for us on Christmas.

High today of 55°F with clouds.
Low at 32°F.
Have a Blessed Day and Stay Healthy. Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends. (y)

PS: I still have IU in the Rose Bowl.
1-1-2026 Hopefully a good game. 👍

It's supposed to be 72, 68, 51, & 69 starting on Christmas Eve with the 72 degree temp. For some reason, my weather app and 2 different TV stations have crazy forecasts for Friday, but all days are meant to be sunny or partly sunny. Family here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But Saturday looks like a great riding day. Gonna see if I can get some of this "over the hill" crew together to do a "ride for food".

Mostly cloudy with filtered sunshine here in the desert. Another 80 degree (record) day. It looks like the first wave of rainstorms will move in from California later tonight. Then we'll have a bit of a dry period until Christmas eve when the next wave of storms moves into the valley. Stay safe..... Jim

Christmas is tomorrow here in Indiana. So I will just wish everyone a Good Thing 👍.
Enjoy your Day with your family and friends.

Currently cloudy and some fog here in my local area. The temperature is 35°F this morning. My Spyder is sleeping for the season. Definitely hoping for a short winter, but Time will tell.

Today's high will be only 50°F with clouds.
Low of 35°F. Not snow for me.
I will enjoy the Day.

Remember to Stay Healthy and Be Warm. Till Next Time (y)

The rain forecast for last night evaporated before getting to the valley, at least at my house. Still a (diminished) chance of rain on Christmas. Often times we see a massive storm bearing down on us only to see it fall apart and disappear as it gets to the valley. I guess that what makes the desert, the desert. 73/63 and cloudy today. Christmas will be spent quietly at home in front of the electric fireplace, football on TV, and a lot of time fixing big, special meals. I do enjoy cooking and eating, and it shows. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas..... Stay safe..... Jim

Made a run to WalMart about an hour ago to get suet blocks for the birds. I had to open the vents on my Roadcrafter its nearly 80 today.

After a few 35°C+ days to lull us into the false belief that Summer had finally arrived, last night saw a pretty brisk change roll in (and bleedin' 'eck, didn't the sudden and marked increase in all the aches & pains from old injuries let me know the moment the change arrived, reminding me forcefully of what a great life I've had, cos I'm still here despite them all, ain't I?! :sneaky:) so Christmas Day has dawned with a full & heavy cloud cover and the temp still in single digits, barely expecting to make it into the low teens today, altho there's no rain forecast!!

But not to worry, the temps are heading back into the 30's (°C) tomorrow, and they're expected to be in the high 30°s C by Monday before easing for the start of the New Year. Here in South Oz, where we are planning on staying home this year instead of visiting all our East Coast & Snowy Mountains Friends & Rellies, that's an unexpected cool change, cos we usually start the year with mid-high 40° temp's, but I expect those temps will be coming along soon enough - Western Australia is already experiencing a high 40's heat wave!

Over on the East Coast & in the Snowies, we usually still see the high temps leading up to and over Christmas itself, then it pretty much always snows in the Mountains between Christmas and New Year, before settling in to a couple of months of extended periods of temps over 40°C... I'm not really missing the latter part of that, but I do enjoy riding the Spyder in our light excuse for snow, and I will miss that... :cautious: Oh, and catching up with all the Friends & Rellies, too! Good thing a lot of them have come this way this year! ;)

Merry Christmas! 😁
