Welcome to another grand Thursday of the month of February.
The North-Eastern USA is dealing with a lot of snow.
I saw a lot of information about
it on my local TV NEWS. Not very friendly issues.

Currently cloudy sky at 30°F with some snow showers this morning. Just enough to make the morning commute to work a bad deal. Some schools are on the snow schedule.

High today of 47°F with some sun.
Low at 31°F and cloudy.
I hope you have a Sunny Day.
Remember Spring is one day closer.

Start planning your next vacation.
The wife and I have already started.

Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends. (y)

Sunny and warm here in the desert. Currently: 76 degrees, 2 MPH breeze, humidity at 28%, sun very slightly filtered by high stratus clouds. Today's high will be 86 and the overnight low will be 63 degrees. The "normal" high temperature for this time of year is 72. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be 90 degrees! I am REALLY hoping these above normal temperatures do not carry into spring and summer. Stay safe..... Jim

Little Blue - Yes, we are dealing with a lot of snow here in the NorthEast.

We are still on the storm train here, I hope there is end to it soon.

There is a slight chance of light precipitation Friday and Saturday with no accumulation of snow expected. The Gusty Winds that are expected on Friday night and on into Saturday will create blustery conditions. The main story is the sharp return to extreme cold on Sunday night with dangerous wind chill temps dropping to -10 degrees. The temps will gradually climb back from there into the mid to upper 30's by mid week.

Tonight, the temps will be in the single digits with mostly cloudy skies.

Friday, the Daytime 'temps will be in the upper 30's and it will be mostly sunny. Night-time temps will be in the low 30's. Gusty Winds will develop in the evening and continue overnight. There is a 20% chance of rain and snow showers after 1 AM, with the heaviest falls near the Canadian Border. Any snow accumulation will be minimal.

Saturday will be mild with a chance of Showers. The Daytime highs will be in the upper 40's. They are forecasting high winds, anything from 35 to 40 mph, with mostly cloudy skies. Night-time temps will be in the low teens. There is a 30% chance of snow showers after 1 AM (EST) in the higher terrain and Northern areas, with little or no snow accumulation expected.

Sunday - daytime temps will be in the upper teens, and it will remain cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clear through the remainder of the day. Over night lows will be around -5 degrees.

Monday's daytime highs will be in the upper 20's, with sunny skies and improving conditions. Over-night lows will be in the single digits.

Tuesday's daytime highs will be in the upper 30's with partly sunny skies and a gradual warming. Overnight lows are expected to be around the mid 20's. Temps will be moderating from the extreme cold (I hope!)

Wednesday will be milder, with mostly sunny Daytime temps in the upper 30's to near 40's and mostly sunny skies as the temps trend upward into the mid to upper 30's. Overnight lows will remain in the teens.

Thursday and beyond there will be a warming pattern with precipitation. The pattern will shift from the extreme cold early in the week to a warming trend mid week followed by another system bringing precipitation chances late in the week. A 40% chance of rain and snow will arrive on Thursday.

I am sick of winter!

canamjhb,

Send some of the warm weather to the NorthEast, and I'll send you folks some snow.

Deanna, if I could, I would. Really. You bring another weather thought to my mind. Not including Hawaii, where would be the best year-round weather-related place to live? Seems like we all have our good and not so good characteristics. My vote is the San Diego, CA area. Other factors, non-weather related, keep me from living there though.

Here in my part of the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, today has been been pushing the high 30's/low 40's in °C (so basically, it's been pdc to 100°F since about 09:00) with almost 70% humidity, so it's been a tad sticky and uncomfortable; and this arvo, the humidity increased along with the threat of severe and damaging thunderstorms - we had a 90% chance of them this morning, and now, 16 odd hours later, that likelihood of severe and damaging thunderstorms has increased significantly.

As an example (just a couple of incidents out of many today) an old fella out walking his dog in Perth was struck by one of the 10,000 lightning strikes that hit that city in just over an hour this morning - he survived, just, and is still in hospital with severe burns in a critical but stable condition, but the dog didn't survive; and two school girls were 'hit' by lightning erupting upwards from whatever they were alongside, putting them both in hospital suffering from severe injuries... And pretty much the entire country (almost more land mass than the lower 48 of the United States) including every one of the Deserts in the middle, is under a 'Severe Weather Alert', with flood warnings and extreme rainfall events forecast pretty much country wide!

So it seems that while it's true that "...I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains, of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains..." this time of this year is just gonna be our 'flooding rains' and freakin' awesome thunderstorms season!!

Well first off, it seems that all parts of the World are having problems. Really don't know what to make of it.
I am ONLY talking about the weather. Just too cold, too hot, and everything else. What ever you decide with your local area weather, be Safe.

Currently cloudy sky at 37°F. Looks like a good day with lots of sunshine.
So warm up today and then tomorrow it will be cooler. Gotta Love it.

Today's high at 61°F. That's what TV News showed late last night. 🌙
Low of 36°F.
Maybe wash the wife's car.
We could use some rain showers to get the salt off of the roads.
Just saying about that.

Anyhow enjoy your last Friday of the month of February.
My local weather area is scheduled as a beautiful day event.

Till Next Time my Spyder Friends. (y)

I only mentioned the weather related problems in the above post about conditions in California and Hawaii. The fire storms are a result of the Santa Anna winds during a certain season in California, which is certainly related to the weather. The wildfires on Maui were caused by similar wind patterns. I did not even bring up the earthquakes or tsunamis to which both places are subject and neither did I bring up volcanoes.

I wasn't trying to rain on your parade. I just did not want to leave anyone with the mistaken impression that some place on the earth there might exist a place that always had good weather.

canamjhb,

I am sick of Winter, and I am ready for Spring here in Vermont. I know that if you could, you would. I won't ask you again.

It seems like all parts of the USA and Hawaii are having terrible weather now.

Last day of February 2026. Makes me tried just thinking about how fast the days fly.
I know it has to be an old age thing. Never
thought about 'fast time' growing up.

So now, on with the weather news from
the fair state of Indiana. Yesterday's temperature was the best for the year (61°F).
Good Ole T-shirt weather. Finally got the wife's vehicle washed. She made some wonderful cookies for me to enjoy.

Currently a little cloudy sky at 40°F.
No rain in my forecast here.

High today at 54°F with mostly cloudy sky.
Low of 27°F. Not a friendly temperature.
I was kinda hoping that the freezing numbers were behind us. Oh well on with the show.

Yes, this is the very last day of February. So tomorrow we will begin the Merry Month of March. See you soon. Please pray for those who are dealing with the weather problems.

Till Next Time my Spyder Friend. (y)

Yesterday we got to 91 here in the desert. Today we should hit 92! Currently at 10:30 AM; 79 degrees, wind is calm, humidity is 25%, and there are some high stratus clouds scattered around. Last night I waited, and waited, and waited for the house to cool down before going to bed. I finally gave up ant turned the AC on for about an hour. It's just plain WRONG to have to use AC in February! Stay safe..... Jim
