Here in Vermont, the weather is cool (Fall Like - Yes, I did mention FALL!!!) Sunday, we will have wet weather. A low pressure and a cold front will bring increasing clouds tonight, with showers moving in after midnight mainly in the northern part of Vermont. We will have showers likely on Sunday morning with possible embedded thunderstorms. Some heavy downpours are likely, but any showers or thunderstorms will be fast moving, limiting flash flooding potential. For the afternoon, however, a few severe thunderstorms are possible in the Southern parts of Vermont. Isolated wind damage or hail is not out of the question, but widespread activity is not expected.
Any showers or thunderstorms will move out Sunday evening, with much cooler, less humid air moving in behind it. Lows will be in the 40's to low's 50'and even a few 30's are possible... not unheard of in the colder valleys in July or August. Monday will be mostly sunny and relatively cool. Highs will be in the upper 60's to low 70's. Another crisp night is on tap for Monday night. Again, a few locations like Saranac Lake, New York, may dip into the upper 30's.
Temps will warm up during the week. Tuesday and Wednesday will be delightful with mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the 70's Tuesday, then some low 80's on Wednesday. Lows will be in the 50's and 60's. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon. A much warmer and more humid day can be expected, with highs in the 80's. A few spots may reach 90 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are expected overnight, and a few could linger through Friday. Saturday looks great, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80's expected.
The current temp is 70 degrees and mostly cloudy. Today, it was cool.
