Your Weather News @ March Edition 2026

Time to go out and run the snowblower to clear the drive. Plows are now out clearing roads. Many schools closed and events cancelled. Wind forecasted to go down later today, so the plows will be able to keep the roads cleared. High today forecast to be 10 degrees F and subzero lows tonight, with a bit more snow tonight.

73 F and raining here. Also a lot of thunder and lightning. I am not going to do much outside today. Not going to try to work in the shop either. Lightning don't care where you are once it gets on the power lines.

The good news is, ain't gotta water the garden today.

Hot and sunny here in the desert. I saw one forecast that said we will be at 107 degrees by this weekend. We have more than enough degrees. I'd be happy to share some for those wanting them. Stay safe..... Jim

Enjoy your Snow Day and Stay Healthy.
They say that Spring is only 4 days away. Indiana got a lot of snow showers. About half of an inch on the ground. Arctic temperatures, currently 23°F with wind chill of 10°F.

Definitely not friendly temperatures.
That's all for now. (y)

Well here in Vermont, we have a strong cold front coming that will move through later this evening and into Tuesday, bringing dangerous winds and rain to snow transition. High wind warnings and wind advisories remain in effect through Tuesday morning, with gusts up to 60 mph possible. Isolated to scattered power outages are expected. Temps will drop sharply behind the front, with snow accumulation and slick morning travel conditions possible. After the system clears, conditions should moderate through the week with temps approaching the 40's by Thursday.

Tonight, a quick freeze is likely for untreated surfaces as temps plummet late.

Tuesday, and Wednesday will be blustery and cold, with damaging winds on both days.

Thursday will be mild, with highs in the upper 40's. It will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow.

Friday, there is a 40% chance of rain and snow, and it will be mostly cloudy. Temps in the lower 40's

Saturday, highs in the upper 40's with a chance of rain and snow through the day. Mostly Cloudy with lows in the upper 20's.

Sunday and beyond, there is a gradual warming pattern. Temps will begin to moderate from cold, with highs near 35 to 39 degrees on Sunday heading into next week. Overnight lows will range from the mid teens to low 20's. A 30% chance of snow Sunday night with mostly cloudy skies. Conditions remain variable with additional shower chances possible as shortwave troughs move through the pattern. Highs will climb toward the mid 30s by Monday and mostly sunny conditions are likely.

The current temp is 57 degrees and it's mostly cloudy.

Stay safe everyone!

I woke up to snow on the ground this morning, and there's supposed to be more overnight with a low of 23° F.

The good news is that the forecast calls for warmer weather the rest of the week, topping out at 80° F for Saturday and Sunday.
Yes, I will be out riding!

It seems like ole man winter just hasn't read the 'memo'. Spring is only days away. I guess most people are looking forward to the season of Spring. I know that I'm definitely ready.
Come on Spring!!!

Currently very cold for Indiana. We have about one half of an inch of snow on the ground. The temperature is 16°F with a wind chill of 3°F this morning. Not happy with the temperatures today.

High today of 25°F with cloudy sky.
Low at 22°F and clouds and wind.
Please listen to your local area weather news. Freezing weather is a real problem. Unfortunately I realize that some people have to do what is needed. I am just saying to be careful.

So I will just stay Healthy and Enjoy Life as best possible. You do the same. By the way, you have a great Day.👍

I FINALLY got to use my new snowblower!

It worked great and cleared the snow no problemo. The snow was very heavy and sticky, so the blower didn't throw the snow 30' as advertised but it threw it far enough.

We got around 6 to 8 inches of the stuff, hard to pin that down because of all the blowing and drifting.

The dogs loved it and had a big time zoom session yesterday morn blasting through drifts and chasing each other.

At least I don't get all stinky blowing snow with the 2-stroke blower anymore. (y)

Good Morning to you. Here in Indiana we are still dealing with a little bit of snow. The Arctic air is still causing problems when outdoors. It has been making it feel 'bone chill cold'.

Currently cloudy sky at 22°F, feels like 14°F. We have a little snow falling right now and supposedly till around 9am this morning. That's what TV News is saying.

Today's numbers are going up.
High of 44°F with clouds.
Low at 35°F and cloudy.
Stay Warm and Be Healthy.

Winter weather is only a faint thought for me. We are under an extreme heat warning here in the desert. Currently; 86 degrees, 4 MPH breeze, humidity at 12%, and no clouds. The high today will be 97+ and the overnight low will be a comfortable 68 degrees. At least it's still cooling down at night. I get uncomfortable when our nighttime lows are 90 degrees+. The next few days will be HOT!!! Temperatures above 100. That's too hot for me to sit with my car show friends like I usually do on Fridays and Saturdays. So, on to plan B. Hang out with friends at the swimming pool. Stay safe..... Jim

Well the current temp here is 25 degrees and clear.

Conditions trend warmer through the end of the week as high pressure shifts East and Southerly winds develop. A weak system brings a slight chance of showers Thursday into Thursday night, followed by a stronger system with better precipitation chances of light rain and snow Friday into Friday night.

Drier conditions return after Sunday with below normal temps through most of next week.

Tonight will see temps in the low 20's with increasing clouds overnight and no precipitation expected.

Thursday's Daytime temps will be in the low to mid 40's and it will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers, particularly at the higher elevations, where any precipitation will fall as snow.

Night time temps are expected in the low 30's, with a slight chance of a rain shower, then becoming mostly cloudy and dry.

Friday's temps will be in the mid 40's, mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of showers developing after 4PM (EST) as a slight, more substantial, system approaches from the North West. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.

Friday's night time temps will in the mid 30's. Rain showers are likely before 2 AM (EST), then there's a chance of rain and snow overnight. Valley locations may see rain, while higher elevations could see a rain/snow mix. Little to no snow accumulation is expected at this time.

Saturday's temps are expected to be in the 50's. There's a chance of rain and snow showers before 9 AM (EST), then a chance of rain showers. It will be mostly Cloudy throughout the day.

Saturday night, new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible. There is considerable model uncertainly regarding the strength, track, and timing of this system. Lows should be in the 30's overnight.

Sunday's Day time temps are expected to be in the upper 40's, with a chance of rain and snow before 5 PM (EST), then a chance of rain. It should be partly sunny, with over night lows around 20.

Monday and beyond, expect Dry conditions and below normal temps to dominate the forecast through until Tuesday. Monday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 30's, and lows in the upper 20's (this is great maple sugaring weather).

Well the roller coaster days of winter are going to be tuff to shake off. Just saying about that, Spring is scheduled for tomorrow around 11am. Saturday will be the first full day of Spring here in Indiana.

Currently cloudy sky at 39°F. No snow fall today. Yesterday we had off and on snow showers all day. The sun melted away most of it.

Today's high at 65°F with clouds.
Low of 49°F with some clouds.
Have a Happy Day and enjoy your Ryde Times.

Record breaking heat in the desert. Not just breaking records, but smashing them by 10 degrees or more - 104 here today. This is winter?!? Waiting for sundown to enjoy a cruise around the neighborhood in the golf cart. And, yes, a cool beverage is on the agenda. Tomorrow will be hotter than today. My old blue pony will have to endure staying in its shady stable this weekend. No show and shine for me when it's this hot. Stay safe..... Jim
