The storms have been very busy. I learned yesterday that Indiana had been hit. Luckily no one was lost.
Praying for everyone who had damaged areas.

Currently raining here in Indiana. I guess it is going to be a all day thing.
Temperature is 53°F this morning.
Already had several large pools of water in the yard.

High today of 68°F with rain.
Low at 58°F and more rain.
Yesterday's sunshine was great.
Stay Dry and Enjoy your Day.

The current temp in Vermont is 48 degrees. The weather has been chilly and cloudy and they are forecasting these conditions will persist through the evening tonight. Rain and mountain snow showers are expected tomorrow afternoon through Friday.

Tonight just will be cloudy and chilly conditions with temps in the mid 40's.

Thursday, more rain and in the higher terrain, SNOW which will move in for the afternoon. Generally, temps will be in the low to mid 50's throughout the State.

Friday, rain and mountain snow continues. Coverage and intensity should be lower and the precipitation taper off.

The Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be not too bad. It will start off showery, cloudy, and cool for Saturday, partly sunny, and milder for Sunday, then mostly sunny, warm, and dry for Monday. This weather is very unusual for Vermont at this time of the year.

People in the West/ or Central part of USA, send some of your warm weather to Vermont!

Stay Away from the 'Snow Monsters'.
Wow, I am a little surprised that you are still dealing with Snow ❄️ 🙃.
Stay Healthy and Be Warm.

Here in Indiana we are having some crazy cooler temperatures. Currently we have mostly clear sky at 59°F. Just last week we were 70s to 80s.

Today's high at 60°F with a chance of afternoon rain showers.
Low of 48°F.
They say we are still in Spring till June.

Have a Blessed Day and enjoy your Ryde Times.
Till Next Time. (y)

Well I am getting off to chilly start this morning. Currently have cloudy sky at 50°F. No sunshine for us today. A chance of afternoon rain showers.

The high for today only 56°F and cloudy.
Low at 42°F with clouds.

Everything is good for now.
I hope you are all doing well.
Till Next Time. (y)

The desert is very hot today. At noon it was 100 degrees. The high will be 105+. Humidity is 8%. There is a light breeze of 5 MPH or less. Overnight low will be 71. Unfortunately, I expect there will be news stories of people losing their lives to the heat this holiday weekend. This heat is like a loaded pistol. It will kill if not respected and delt with correctly. I have been hydrating all morning with my normal cup of ice water by my side. Getting ready to go to the pool for a couple hours of bobbing, visiting, swapping recipes, and telling stories . Stay safe..... Jim

Well, the snow monsters are here in Vermont!!! They are forecasting a Nor'Easter for tonight and into Friday, (one of the mountains in Vermont has snow flurries!!) Valley rain and mountain snow showers are expected tonight through Saturday as the Nor'Easter churns off the Atlantic coastline over the next 24-48 hours.

For now through Saturday, here's how much precipitation we can expect: Rain fall: 0.5-1.5 region wide, with 1-2" expected near the Connecticut River Valley.

Snowfall (yes, I did say snowfall!) A trace to 2" in our high terrain, mostly above 3,000 ft. Then above 4,000 ft 2-4 inches is possible, especially in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Impacts will be minimal with very little concern for flooding due to the rain fall beginning to spread out over a longer period of time. Just some ponding on roadways, water standing in low-lying areas, and regional creeks and streams rising to action stage. Flood stage is not expected at this time.

Into Saturday, it will still be damp, gloomy, and chilly.

Sunday is shaping up to look much nicer. Temps in the low to mid 60's are expected with peeks of sunshine.

Monday for Memorial Day, the warmest day of the weekend! Temps in the low 70's with sunshine. It may not be as warm as I'd like it to be as it rings in the unofficial start of summer, but it's certainly the nicest "weekend" day we have had so far in 2025.

The current temp is 45 degrees and raining.

On top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire (which is the highest mountain in New England) the current temp is 33 degrees (feels like 25 degrees) it is currently snowing, which will continue for several hours. Snow: On any given day Mount Washington may be the coldest inhabited place in the lower 48!

Someone got mad at Mother Nature, who is now crying all the time.

Low at 45°F with clouds.

Welcome to Indiana Weather for Memorial Day Weekend. They are saying that we might get some rain showers on Sunday, Indy 500 Race Day. I hope that they are wrong. Oh well, people will just have to deal with it. I will not be going to the Race. Just listening to it on my radio. I'm hearing that it may not be a blackout this year. I will just wait and see.

Currently clear sky at 46°F. Yesterday was a beautiful dry day with some sunshine. I got most of the grass cut.
Still have some areas of standing water.

Today's high should be 68°F with some sunshine.
Low at 52°F. No rain today.

Sunday's high is 65°F with 24% chance of morning rain.
Low at 48°F

Have yourself a Blessed Day Everyone.
Happy Memorial Day too.
Spend some time with your family and friends.

Till Next Time. (y)

I can't give you a weather report for home, cos I'm not in South Oz atm, where there's drought; the dams and reservoirs are dry; there's no feed for stock; crop growers are dry seeding in the hope of getting some rain before it gets too cold for the seed to grow & so that their soil doesn't wash away when it does rain next; and the sort of thing shown in the pic below is becoming commonplace:

20250512_143106.jpg

Instead, me'n the Child Bride are half the Country away, in Southern NSW, where we've been visiting the Wife's aging and unwell Mother. But we had to bolt, as this arvo everyone was told to prepare to evacuate because the rain band that's caused the extensive and catastrophic flooding in Northen NSW has moved South and has already started unloading a deluge of epic proprtions! 😧

There's many thousands of homes underwater up North of us (about 10,000), where some places have received over 1.6 metres of rain so far, with 1/2 a metre of rain in less than the last 48 hours, with just as much forecast again over the next day or so; and many of the rivers are flooding at over 14 metres above normal levels, 6 metres above previous record flood levels!! Luckily (for everyone else anyway!) only 5 people have been confirmed drowned so far, but there are tens of thousands in the Evacuation Centres, some after being moved to higher ground twice already, and quite a few people still unaccounted for, so that number of drowned may well rise!

We have commitments in South Oz that mean we had no choice but to leave immediately we got the Prepare to Evacuate warning, in order for us to stand any chance of making it back before we got flooded in; but at least there's lots of local family to look after Mum, and they are all already (hopefully) safely well above the reach of most foreseeable floodwaters, but with what Northern NSW is currently drowning in, who knows?!

Anyhow, we're on the road, and so far, we've been able to cross all the creeks & rivers that are rapidly heading towards flood levels. With any luck, we'll be over the Great Dividing Range and heading back home across the Plains and into drought striken South Oz well before any major flooding catches up with us, but the main roads out of here (those with bridges etc!) are all to the North, and they are already under water, so we have had to head South and West on minor roads & tracks and hope that we can get past/thru the many un-bridged rivers and creeks that we'll need to cross as we go up and over the Divide!! They've all been open/fordable so far, but the rain is pelting down onto already soaked ground, producing maximum run-off, and that means that many of the crossings we've done already have been close to their (and to our!) maximum fording depth! And once we're over the top, there's still all the Western running creeks & rivers that will still be getting fed by the rain and floods behind us!! 😣

So the weather report here where I am right now is 'cold and very wet'; temps in the mid single digits in °C atm; likely to drop to 1 or 2°C as we climb over the Divide and the night progresses; but at least it probably won't snow - it's waaaayyy too wet right now, and the wind is strong and gusting to about 100 kph. Still, I've got snow/mud chains, a chainsaw, and a (small) winch as well as my usual recovery/unditching gear, so we should be OK... But it is feeling a whole lot like we're gonna have a fairly intense trip home!! For once, I'm glad we're in the 4WD and not on the Spyder!

Later Edit: Drove into the night last night, and with a little work out of the 4WD in the cold and still teeming rain, managed to get thru all the critical, potential trip stopper crossings & tracks! I'm pretty sure that no-one else was going to be coming thru those after us tho! The last couple of crossings were getting a bit hairy as the flood level and water flow rate was and still is rising; and we only just managed to squeeze thru on some tracks after trimming a few large branches off some pretty big trees that'd been downed, only there's more of them down now, so they will likely be impassable even if the crossings aren't, and we did all that we did before the real wind & rain set in! However, we're now thru all that, and parked up at friends place for a while to rest up a bit. From here on, we can afford to take things a bit easier and still get the rest of the way home comfortably for those appointments on Tuesday that I can't miss! ;)

The desert is pretty warm this Memorial Day. Currently it's 94 degrees, humidity of 10%, slight breeze of 5 MPH or less, and no clouds in sight. The high today will be 100 and the overnight low will be a comfortable 68. An afternoon dip in the pool is in my near future. Stay safe..... Jim

After several days of rain, it looks like the sun is going to come out. Unfortunately that means I will need to get caught up on yardwork before I can go ride.

Well, today's weather was sunny and hot. Temps in the 70's & lower 80's. This weather won't last long because they are forecasting showers on Thursday, primarily in the afternoon. Then we will get a break from the rain on Friday before a soggy Saturday Nor'Easter knocks on the door this weekend (Nor'Easter's we get in Nov. Dec. Jan, & Feb here in New England).

Tomorrow (Thursday): Mild but a bit cooler with temps in the upper 60's with showers.

Friday: Partly sunny with a small chance of showers in the morning. Temps in the mid 70's.

Saturday: Cool and wet. Rain all day with NW winds 10-15 MPH. Rain accumulations likely 1-1.5" especially East of the Green Mountains.

Sunday: Peeks of sunshine, still cool temps in the 60's, and much drier with a just a few lingering showers.

Then next week will be MUCH BETTER, conditions back in the 70's and 80's with abundant sunshine.

The current temp is 74 degrees & partly cloudy.

I have heard that from June 1st to June 21st, we will finally get hot sunny weather. YEA!!!

Deanna

This morning we have some Fog due to yesterday's half inch of rain. It's only supposed to be until about 11am.
Going to try and make some necessary repairs on my ride-on mower. Always a fun job now that I am older.
Just makes my lower back issues come up. Old age is not so happy sometimes. The wife said, "Deal with
it or pay someone to do it". Oh well, thanks for letting me complain.

Currently cloudy sky and 52°F with lots of fog.
Hjgh today is 72°F with some clouds.
Low at 55°F.
Life is good for now. Stay Healthy and Always look for the best.
Have yourself a Blessed Day. (y)

Last Day of MAY is almost here.
Good Morning to you. Currently we are having some rain showers. The temperature was 57°F. No real issues at this time.

Today's numbers are looking good for me. The high is 72°F with some sunshine.
Low at 55°F and cloudy.
I got most of the yard work done yesterday. Maybe get a chance for some Ryde Time today.

Enjoy your Day and Ryde when you can find some time.
Remember to Stay Healthy. (y)

Well, here in Vermont, we will be having some breaks of blue sky this morning and through the day, as we will be seeing a mix of sun and clouds with possibly a quick isolated shower in some places. But most of us will stay dry throughout the day today, and by evening we'll all have plenty of sunshine.

But the dry, partly sunny weather doesn't last long. Rain showers will be moving in overnight and continuing through the day Saturday, as another Nor'Easter moves through. We'll be seeing periods of heavy rain and it looks like a majority of the region will see 1-1.5" with some localized higher totals up to 2".

They are not expecting any flooding, but in low lying or poor drainage areas there could be some ponding or puddles on the roadways.

The rain will be moving out overnight and into Sunday, and most of the day then looks drier, but also cool with highs only in the 60's. There could be a few scattered showers through out the day, then another round of more widespread showers will be rolling through the evening.

But for Monday, the showers will be out to the region and we will be seeing plenty of sunshine and blue skies again. Monday will be also warmer, with temps back to seasonable and in the low 70's.

The sun sticks around through the first half of the week, and the warming trend continues. Tuesday high's will be in the mid to upper 70's and by Wednesday, we are back in the low 80's. And it looks like we will be staying in the 80's for the rest of the week. YEA!!!

The current temp is 61° and cloudy.

Have a great weekend! Stay safe and healthy! Keep the 3 wheels down!

Deanna
