Zurich Warranty ?????

Agent/Broker

[/URL] I printed a copy of the Zurich info. Deanna

Deanna, what did you get from Zurich? It appears to me that we must go through an agent/broker to obtain information or a quote for an extended warrantee. By the way, I've found that to select the better warrantee you must have a printout of each policy's exclusions in front of you so you can decide which provider can give you the best warrantee for your needs.

:agree: It's not about what they say that they cover: it's about what they say that they don't!

Check out McGraw

I could be wrong but I think it might be aka; "West" in some dealerships. If I recall correctly McGraw had the fewest exclusions of any, and had a wheel/tire and accessory option if you wanted them. I think the option package was in the area of $250. The prices for the extended warrantee itself, was quoted from a low of $800 up to just over $1200. No deductible and that was for 3 years. You've got to shop-a-round.

Zurich will cover a 5 year old machine -- hubby had Zurich on a 2007 HD that was purchased in 2012. We bought the extended warranty when we purchased the bike. Purchased from a multi-brand used motorcycle "dealer" that had a contract with Zurich; they did a full bike inspection before sale and I am sure Zurich requires that on used machines (they also cover new). They are pretty sticky about what has to be pre-approved and it is best to call to confirm that they will or will not cover something without pre-approval (or have the dealer call). We had two expensive repairs on the Harley; one of which was fully covered (ECM) the other only partially (Starter was covered fully, but the "stretched" wire under the tank was not).

All the best .... Ann

Anybody have a phone number or contact info for Zurich? I would like to look into extended warranties, but not before I read "the fine print".
thanks,
Seth

Upate on Zurich Waranty as of 2/1/17 @ 5:28

Here is the latest up date that I have on Zurich Warranty: I called ( 888-835-5063) they are very difficult to reach them they gave me 3 options to choose from 1....... 2..... 3 if you want to update your contract/or general questions, I pressed # 3 to speak to a person.

I talked to guy, "he "asked me "What town or State are you calling from " I said Vermont, and I gave him 3 other towns that have/and sell the Can-Am line( Essex Junction, Derby Line, Rutland).

I said I have a 2014RTS-SE6 Can Am Spyder and I have several other questions. He said" I would have to go to a dealership that sells the Zurich Warranty, for me it is Central Vermont Motorcycles in Rutland, Vermont.

Sometime this week I'll call ( Central Vermont Motorcycles), and talk to them about the Zurich Warranty.

I'll keep everyone posted on what info they give me.

So my advise/suggestion is to call the phone # listed above to find out what can-am dealerships in your area/or state that sell the Zurich Warranty. Deanna

Zurich Insurance

Following up on Deanna suggestion, I called Zurich yesterday, 2 Feb., and was told there were no dealers in my area to call for quote. Gave me some dealers to call. Placed call and talked to a very nice lady and took my information about my Spyder and said she would call back. Later that morning she did call back and here is what she told me. I informed her I had 2014 RTS SE6 still under warranty from BRP. Runs out in July 2017. Here quote back to me was: since my Spyder was still under warranty they considered it new. Would not have to inspected. Price for full coverage would be $1499 for 84 months, starting from date of purchase, no deductible , with $50 deductible price would be $1399. Since my warranty was for three years, this would mean I would only get four more years of coverage. BRP will only cover me for two more years. Have sheets describing what is and what is not covered and policy looks very good. Will be calling Pitbull and Bert Automall for price comparisons. Will keep up with info when I get it. Just for information.

Please provide me with number to pitbull. Thank you! 2016 rts last June.

Would you let me know the $$ on Zurich warranty.

Deanna

Hi Deanna

Sorry this has taken so long. So I bought my Zurich in Sept of 2015 when my Spyder was 3 years old and out of factory warranty, so the BEST was also not an option. My dealer knew nothing about any other available warranty. I found a power sports dealer who wrote Zurich warranties. I bought 24 months and unlimited mileage for $1144.00.
I am glad I bought it. I have had to use it one time and it has nearly paid for itself in that one instance.
I thought prices were fixed ,I now know that I may have been able to negotiate a lower price, but I am still happy with what I got.

Updated Zurich Warranty Info as of 2/4/2017 @ 4:02pm

I called Central Vermont Motorcycles in Rutland, VT this afternoon, I spoke to their warranty person, I have a 2014RTS-SE6 can-am spyder, and my B.E.S.T warranty expires in Aug. 5, 2019 and I am looking for warranty coverage after that.

The person said " Where did you buy your spyder, I told them where I bought it (bought it @ Walt's Sales & Service, Derby, Vt) they said" they can not sell me the Zurich warranty because I did not buy my spyder there" that is the agreement between Central Vermont Motorcycles in Rutland, VT & Zurich. Also I asked them "do I have to go out of state to find a dealership that sells the Zurich Warranty".

The other 2 dealerships in Vermont don't sell the Zurich warranty. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
