Totally agree & course few alternatives:XI types of people? Amazing! Last physical exam one of the nurses wanted me to take a cognitive test. I told her I wasn't gonna take it, because I was only 75 and that was for old people. She said my doctor ordered it. She brought me a sheet of paper with a circle on it drawn with a compass. She told me to make it an analog clock face showing my appointment time. I told her that was stupid test because digital clocks had not even been invented when I learned how to tell time. She said just finish the clock face with all the numerals and the clock hands in the correct place. I put roman numerals on the clock. She came back, looked at it and didn't know what it was. She took it to the head nurse and I guess the head nurse explained that long ago a lot of the big wall clocks had roman numerals on the face.
Young nurse came back and said I would have to take the test again next appointment. I told her I would, but I was putting the numbers on it in Kanji. The next appointment she did not ask me to do another stupid clock face.

Looks like the hands are misaligned.View attachment 251958 Notice anything odd on this 1?
An old foot peg?Whats new? Just finished putting the custom made bronze handle on my blade blank. Little bit heavy, but feels like a roll of dimes in your hand and the blade is razor sharp. Still needs more cleaning up and some polishing. No belt case yet, but that will also be custom made.

Are you sure not confusing the central frame & supports? Hint: Maybe so minor the mind sees but works past it.Looks like the hands are misaligned.
No. It looks like the hour and minute hands are not co-ordinated. The hour hand is too close to the 6 o'clock position in relation to the minute hand. Are you sure not confusing the central frame & supports? Hint: Maybe so minor the mind sees but works past it.
Not a foot peg. I machined it from a piece of bronze rod. It may have been about 7/8 diameter to start with. Chucked it up with a support about 4 inches from the free end and center bored the free end to take a tail stock live center. Took out the center support and put the tail stock on. Turned about 5 inches of the bronze rod down to just slightly more than the diameter needed to cover the blade tang. Ran knurling wheels over the turned down part of the rod maybe 6 or 7 passes until it had a fairly deep knurl pattern. Switched to carbide tool and put some rings around the knurled part trying to miss being aligned with the 1/8 pin holes in the blade handle tang. Then moved the tail stock back out and put the center support back in. Cleaned up the end with center drilling and cut the knurled handle off with a parting tool.An old foot peg?
The bottom numerals are upside down. A Roman numeral clock was the only clock in my bedroom when I was growing up and I was taught to tell time by it.View attachment 251958 Notice anything odd on this 1?

not just the bottom & maybe was just a blond welder
“the ^ is pointing up, not a V”
It is possible the 'X' is also upside down.Ahh, it all depends on how you look at it!! I reckon that relative to the centre of the clock looking out, they're all up the right way!
Altho thinking about it, it could be that the I, II, & III are upside down - I'm just not sure about them?!
