• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

Gwolf - want to thank you for posting the 2 videos on the Angkor temples. I knew nothing of them. Fascinating stuff. Just spent more time watching the videos than paying attention to the football game!!

Glad you enjoyed it. I was air crew on C-130s operating in that part of the world back in the early 70s. The temple complex was mostly overgrown by jungle back then. A lot of the damage and jungle growth has been cleared away. It is even possible to tour the restored parts of the temple complex now. Such a thing would have been unthinkable back when I was over there.

After an extensive search requiring 3 different browsers and several different search engines,
unable to locate video of the New Years fireworks show in Frostbite Falls, Minnesota. I apologize
for leaving that one out. No fireworks where I am located either. This area is all zoned agricultural
and fireworks would maybe set the frost bitten, dry grass on fire or even worse could stampede
the livestock. The benefits of living in a quiet and usually peaceful place outweigh watching fireworks live.
