Approximately one week before Spyderfest, I started having problems with my spyder. I've mentioned the issues in previous threads. Basically, my spyder was going into limp mode with the usual turn the key off, back on again and all was well. (for awhile)
I had taken my spyder to my dealer (Seminole Power Sports of Sanford, Florida) and they busted their tails to get me running, i.e., they installed a new DPS and other parts from show room floor spyders. All was done in an attempt to get me to Spyderfest. Unfortunately it was a day late and a dollar short and I missed it.
Subsequently, the issues arose again and I sent my spyder back to the shop. My dealer in collaboration with BRP determined that I needed a new wiring harness and probably some other things which I'm not aware. It took about two weeks for the harness to come in and it has now been almost ten days that have passed, and still no spyder.
I went today to check the status and was promised that it would be completed by Tuesday of next week. I explained that I was becoming a bit anxious in that I had reservations for Maggie Valley.
Bottom line is that I was told not to worry about Maggie Valley in that if my spyder was not ready after both their testing and mine, to make sure all problems were fixed, that they would provide me with a spyder from their show room floor to use at Maggie Valley.
Needless to say I was not only absolutely astounded by the offer, but it also made me think and be grateful for what a good dealership I have.
I'm one that likes to pass on good things when they occur. :2thumbs:
