I'm about to do my oil change for the first time myself instead of taking it to the dealer. I can't believe I have put 3,000 miles on her already this year in a little over 2 months. I used to be able to go the whole summer without changing the oil on my two wheeler. This should tell you how much more I ride the Spyder than I ever did my two wheeler. WOW !!! So much for keeping the miles down for resale value.
Anyway, this is not a question about what kind of oil you use. I'm going to use Amzoil full SYN. I know someone made a video on changing the oil and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I remember seeing that one bolt is a torx and the other is a allen and many have made the boo boo with the wrong socket. I got the filter and crush washer already at my dealer ($18.00 with tax) but they did not have the rubber o-ring. I'm going to hopefully reuse the one I have. I'm not going to get into why my dealer did not have one in stock because you all know how I feel about Spyder service and parts depts. FYI... my dealer said they never change the washer or oring with oil changes.
I looked in the video section and typed in oil change but there was no matches found. :hun: Can anyone find this link or know where I can look for it ??? I think Lamont was the one who made the video but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help
