• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I would stay with the 2018 F3 LTD because you are more stretched out, and less cramped. Deanna

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

When you are going thru a corner, push thru the corner, and lean your weight towards the corner (not too much). I went from a 2 wheel motorcycle (in 2012) to my first Spyder, in Aug 2012. At that time, I took the motorcycle course, passed it, and had no problems driving my Spyder then. I am...

And that could be the case again tonight! Over the next few days, temps will continue to fluctuate into and out of the 30's and 40's for...

Blue Skies, dry roads, and 70° - Great Spyder Ride! If this is "global warming", bring it on!

Well, here in Vermont we have a messy snow storm this weekend, starting on Saturday night into Sunday. The current temp is 35 degrees. My Spyder is in hibernation until April. It has Sta-Bil in it, and I did the oil and filter change, put it on a battery maintainer, and tucked it in for the...

Hope I'm not done riding my Spyder for the year?!

Here in Vermont, it is cold and snowy, so my Spyder is in hibernation until April of next year. I put Sta-bil in it, and put the Spyder in for its long winter's nap. I am now getting the snowmobile ready for the snowmobile season (Dec 15th to April 15th). I also have heated gear for my...

Your Weather News @ November 2025 Edition

Here in Vermont, we had our first snow storm of the season yesterday. It caught everyone off guard; snowplow drivers, state police, drivers headed home from work, everyone. Now, as a warm front pushes through this evening, it'll continue to bring snow showers and even some valley rain showers...

Returning member after years on a Goldwing Trike - anyone else done this? Thoughts?

HI poppajim, Sorry for your loss. I went from an HD Swtichback 2 wheels in 2012 to a 2012 RTS SE5 Spyder. I have no regrets with the Spyder. I am now on my 3rd Spyder (I also had a 2014 RTS SE 6, since sold; and my current Spyder is a 2023 F3 LTD SS). I did not have any learning curve with...

Should I get a 2014 now, or wait and get a newer model? Any 'gotta have' features?

Hi Carjones, I had a 2014 RTS-SE6 Spyder (since sold) that had 30,000 plus miles on it when I traded it for my current Spyder, which is a 2023 F3 LTD SS. The "gotta haves" would be updating the sway bar, new tires, Lights (on the fenders, trunk, & saddlebags), fog lights, cup holders...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I changed the oil & filter; & the oil 'O' rings on the oil filter & oil dip stick; put in 4+ quarts (a part of a 5th quart); used Valvoline 4 stroke Motorcycle Full synthetic 10W-40 oil. This oil has wet Clutch protection & I have been using it for a long time (I used to use this oil in my 2014...

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

HI CORider, Yes, 3,000 miles is recommend on the "1330 Ace" engines for the 1st oil change. Be sure the oil is WET Clutch Protection which helps the to prevent slippage for smoother shifting and maximum performance. The Spyder 2014 and up models have the "1330 Ace" Engines in them. In 2014...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nothing, Dealt with life. I hope this weekend to change the oil, oil filter/ and rings, add Sta-Bil, put on the battery maintainer for the long winter nap. It is currently on a battery maintainer. Deanna
