1330 RPM range

My 20-15 RT Limited runs 4000 rpm at 77 miles per hour when set on cruise control. Does this sound appropriate? I am new to Spyders and have no idea what it should be but it seems high to me for 6th gear. Thanks RWC

60 mph brings up just about 3,200 rpm on mine...
YOu get just a bit less than 20 mph, for each 1,000 rpm. :thumbup:

When I rode my 2015 RT from Phoenix to Dallas and back, I was cruising at an average of 80 mph. The RPM was at 4,200 most of the time. My gas consumption plummeted to 28 MPG :yikes:

I've been very satisfied with my overall average mpg, 36.5 thourgh 12,000 but when I'm on the interstates it drops to around 33 depending on how fast I'm motoring along.

2nd at 10

Shifting

I got my first Spyder(2015 RT SM6) in October. The ECO mode was on when it arrived. I rode for a while and shifted when the green arrow came on. I feared that by not doing so would bring the wrath of NANNY down on me. It seemed that the ECO mode wanted me to shift way too low in the rpm band. I turned it off and started winding it up a bit more, shifting where it feels and sounds right (I have been shifting with my left foot since1966). I hope that NANNY will remain content with little higher rpm shift points.

Nanny won't care if you take it to 8,500 rpm. I do believe that is the marked red line on the 1330's.

When you get to "Where you shouldn't be"; the rev limiter will kick in anyway... :thumbup:

Engine RPM limiter setting:
8100 RPM with engaged drivetrain
7500 RPM with open clutch or on neutral
