I'm trying to remove the OEM bar end weights on the ends of the grips and can't seem to find a tool to fit what looks like a set screw. Tried Allen, star, torque, etc. and nothing catches. Is it a set screw? Looking at the inside with a flashlight looks like a pin inside to push! Anyone know how to get these off? HELP PLEASE!

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

though mine is a 2012 RS the bar ends were plastic with a philips head screw going into a spreader. Once the screw was backed out a little twisting and pulling got them off...may not be looking at the same thing. I installed heavy bar ends with rubber compression ends for vibration and a cramp buster/palm cruise to rest the hand on long rydes...:thumbup:

The OP may have accessory bar end caps. I've got a 2008, and the end caps are as you described. But, I installed the accessory metal end caps with the Y. If I remember correctly, it was more than just turning the set screw.
I just checked my spyder, and I have what the OP has; but, I can't remember how I tightened the end caps. It does look like a set screw, but isn't. The bar end weights were part of it, and was called an Anti-Vibe kit.

Had the dealer do it for me after exhausting my limited tool selection. Turns out he used a very small Allen wrench. They were not stock RS end caps, apparently on the 2009 Phantom RS the throttle assembly was different. Glad I went to the dealer as the tech had a challenge figuring it out at first too.
