Sometimes, you've just gotta wonder 'bout things like this?!

But then again, in the article about it, they
do say:
"The Motorcycle of the Year is the one we believe best fulfills its intended purpose and advances the state of motorcycle design, performance, and function."
"Since last year’s MOTY (2024 BMW R 1300 GS), at least 117 new/updated street-legal motorcycles have been announced, everything from adventure bikes and dual-sports to..."
"Notably, naked bikes (37 announced, 32% of the total) and adventure/dual-sport bikes (25 announced, 21% of the total) were the leading types this year."
and
"For the 2025 Motorcycle of the Year, we narrowed these 117 eligible contenders down to 10 finalists and one winner."
So, given all that, maybe they just decided that, in
their opinion,
they believed that
out of 117 new/updated contenders,
21% of which were
'Adventure/dual-sport bikes' and the
10 finalists, the Canyon was
their Best choice?? Might not be yours tho; might not even be
anyone else's, but it's theirs, and for whatever it's worth, they've had the guts to publish, telling the whole World what they think, and I suspect, will gladly accept any and all readers who might not agree and so just hafta look to see
What the bleedin' 'eck were they thinking!?!
Just Sayin'
