There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wow, I bet that ruffled a lot of feathers! Guess I am going to have to give one a test drive when they have a demo day.

I know you're an F3 guy, but the Red Rock really does ride with more comfort than the RT because of that fancy suspension. Too rich for my blood, but if I were an off road, camping in the woods type of guy with $, I'd consider it as an extra toy

I have riden the Canyon and was Not very impressed. I definitely wasn't crazy about the look.

I highly doubt that BRP paid the magazine to publish this article. And I would hope that if offered, they wouldn't take the money. It's an integrity thing.
Seems to me that the Canyon is an attempt at a less adventurous 'Adventure Bike'. That crowd seems to prefer the 'Ugly' look. I suppose there is some satisfaction in the visual separation between street only and a down and dirty, mud in your face approach to motorcycling.
As you say, Little Blue. To each his own. It does remain to be seen if the Canyon will survive.
Surprisingly, I've had some asking if we will make a sway bar for it. When a vehicle needs a weaker sway bar for off pavement success (or no sway bar at all). A cursory look at the OEM gives the impression that the Canyon may come stock with the strongest sway bar of any 3 wheel offering from BRP. Testing would have to be done to be sure.
Interestingly, when I explain this to those who have asked about a stronger sway bar, I've been told that they never intend to take their Canyon off the pavement. Which makes me wonder if they purchased it for the looks?

I am actually more surprized that they really picked any 3 wheeled bike. I would like to see how the suspension would react on either my F3L, but especially, on my RTL. But the looks department alone would keep me from buying one. And that is before we even discuss giving up the frunk space, the smallish luggage, the smallish windscreen, and last (but not least), the extra firm seat. But then again, I was definitely not a fan of the F3 series look either. Only then I got a chance to ride a 2016 F3T and I couldn't stop smiling. My first thought is BRP 100% paid for that. Absolutely no way does it "win" otherwise. I have two platinum dealers near me and neither one has actually sold a Canyon yet.

Rider has always been ready to be contreversial, so this does not surprise me. I do agree with Blacklightning about picking any three wheeler for MOTY. They must feel their readership is getting older which I think they are. The entire motorcycle demographic is ageing. BTW I didn't know they were still in business. I went to a couple of their rallies back in the day. They were fun affairs.
Sometimes, you've just gotta wonder 'bout things like this?!

So, given all that, maybe they just decided that, in their opinion, they believed that out of 117 new/updated contenders, 21% of which were 'Adventure/dual-sport bikes' and the 10 finalists, the Canyon was their Best choice?? Might not be yours tho; might not even be anyone else's, but it's theirs, and for whatever it's worth, they've had the guts to publish, telling the whole World what they think, and I suspect, will gladly accept any and all readers who might not agree and so just hafta look to see What the bleedin' 'eck were they thinking!?! Just Sayin'

Also, It isn't the best looking thing on 3 wheels, but will say, IMHO it definitely looks better in person.
