Stranded on Island

There's a good movie (Castaway, with Tom Hanks) to watch prior to being stranded on an island. Based on the movie, I'd say, make sure that you've had any dental work completed, and are in good physical shape.

Some of the other items would be nice, but may not help. Hunting Rifle - what if there is no game to shoot? Compass - on an island! I think I could find my way back by walking on the beach.

I'd take the matches tarp knife and fishing pole. Notice that there's nothing about some to hangout with. But then you would have to talk to them.

Use the knife to fashion spears for fishing and hunting, and as a reflector to aid in being seen
Matches: for starting cooking and signal fires
the cooking pot: for collecting and boiling water, and for cooking whatever I killed...
The tarp: either to collect rainwater, as a sleeping shelter, or as a drag to aide in collecting firewood.


Once the Swedish Bikini Team parachutes in to resuce me: I should be fit, trim, rested, and ready to convince them to stay there with me! hyea:

your 100% right. i always remember a teacher we had in the apprenticeship program for my union. he said, YOU GO ON A CALL BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS THEIR LIGHTS IN ONE ROOM ARE OUT. SO WHAT DO YOU DO FIRST. after so many answers he said, check the light switch first. is may not be on, or it could of gone bad.
