• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Thing Called Karma

Let me begin by saying, "this has nothing to do with our favorite three wheeled transportation." We live in what is called by some as "flyover country. We have good schools and hospitals, outstanding police and fire protection, and minimal crime. Here's the rub... It seems that our house is the center of the universe for lost and found. It all began in January when a lost Golden Retriever showed up with no tags or collar. The police sent a nice lady from Animal Control out to pickup the dog and hopefully find it's rightful owner. A couple of weeks later, my wife finds a roll of hundred dollar bills in our driveway! Again, the police come by to pickup the cash and hopefully return it to it's rightful owner. Last month I was mowing our lawn and found someone's wallet on the sidewalk in front of our house. No cash, but I.D. License, etc. I turned it over to the P.D. who contacted the owner. Then last night, we're watching TV and the dog goes nuts, barking her head off as she does when there's a delivery of some sort. (good watch dog 🐶) I go the front door to find a 10 drawer Food Dehydrator on the front steps. Not in a box, not a delivery from Amazon, just the bare appliance sitting there for someone to claim! I asked the wife if she bought one, nope! I know I sure as heck didn't buy one! It looks new and in good shape but we have no idea where it came from or who it belongs to. If I weren't grounded in reality, I'd say there's a Black Hole in the Universe parked directly over our house where all things lost and found are deposited. I guess this would be the opposite of a "Porch Pirate". So, if you've lost an appliance, please come and get it! Thank you.

Karma, it's a wonderful thing, until it's not!

Over the years, my wife and I have found several dogs, some miles from their home; many cats; turtles, 11 in one year; baby birds; baby squirrels; a couple of cell phones... And it seems like we get our neighbor's mail on a weekly basis.

I don't know of anyone around me that is getting all of this attention!

I'm still missing one sock. Maybe RogerC60 will find it. :)

So that is where the USPS delivered my dehydrator.
...
Someone did you a favor and gifted you a food dehydrator. ...

I dunno that I'd be even TOUCHING any food dehydrator that I didn't have a full provenance on and know a full history of everything that's ever been dehydrated in it right now!!

Have you seen any of the details &/or the outcome on Erin Patterson's multi-murder trial here in Oz?? A Beef Wellington meal, Death Cap Mushrooms, and a food dehydrator figure fairly significantly in the murder/death of 3 people, and the attempted murder of a fourth - and the jury is in - Guilty on all charges. 😐

sounds like the twilight zone

Just when you think it can't happen again 😕.
Then it does.
Something is definitely got you.

I have heard about strange events, but you seem to have more than most.

No real answer for you.
Have a Happy Day 😊.
